Escape to our peaceful lake-pond retreat minutes from Charlotte Airport, Carowinds and Eagle Chase golf course. Disk golf course only 8 miles away . Bring the whole family and experience the waterfowl, turtles, bass, pan fish, and all of the wildlife that’s here for your exploring. Enjoy the late nights at the fire pit on the water to wind down. Just minutes away from antique stores, stop and go, restaurants and the like. The Rock is designed with your family vacation in mind and stocked with the things you'll need for your stay whether you like cooking or just relaxing. We have a pool table in the second story loft area and a massive 60x14 porch facing the water. We have a reading room with sliding glass doors facing the water. Oh ya and a peaceful yet productive work space area. Additionally there are 2 twin over full bunk beds in the loft area. The Rock is home to unique and elegant outdoor environment that sets it apart. Including active wildlife, open green space and a beautiful reflective pond as the jewel in the crown. This is a great place for out of town family to stay when you're attending the next nearby wedding venue.

Mark & Susan are great hosts. Very helpful with local recommendations for places to eat. Easy check-in and very responsive to any questions. We were in town for a wedding at The Legacy at Gregory Downs which was so close. Amazing weekend! I would highly recommend this house.

We met my sister and her family this weekend at the retreat. We went into the Whitewater Center but it was a rainy weekend. The retreat offered the perfect spot to relax with the family at the end of the day. It was cozy and well appointed, the property is lovely and very private. Mark and Susan were very prompt to reply and eager to please. Definitely recommend.

Ripple Pond Retreat was AMAZING!!! My whole family enjoyed our stay. Our children didn’t want to leave! Next time we plan to stay longer. It was so peaceful out there sitting around the fire, listening to nature, and conversing with friends and family. Mark and Susan were super accommodating and made us feel right at home! I would recommend Ripple Pond Retreat to anyone looking for a stress-free place to getaway. You’ll soon have a chance to unwind and take in the tranquility brought about by nature and the beautiful surroundings!

You will certainly enjoy and remember the occasional nah of the donkey or the cry of the blue heron as it gracefully glides over the water. It's hard not to be taken in by all of the beautiful waterfowl and fishing just outside your door.
FYI we're located in a small town, east of Charlotte called New Salem. It's a small quiet country setting that you may have passed by on your way to Myrtle Beach or any of the shoreline accommodations.

The rock is situated on a mile long dead end street called Dusty lane. A great place to bike or just take a walk. There was a day when the five-year-old walk to school on their own. Well, when you get to The Rock it will truly feel like those good old days again.
