Relax with the whole family at the Owl House. On our eighty acre farm, it offers a peaceful stopping point close to many activities. Watch deer, wild turkeys and foxes from the porch. Take a 20 minute drive to the Carlisle Car Shows, 45 to Hershey Park, 10 to beautiful hiking trails or 20 to Little Buffalo State Park’s fishing lake and huge public pool… or just walk a minute to play in Sherman’s Creek. Rain? Stay inside to play ping pong and other games. There are many possibilities! The Owl House has very high ceilings, which give it a spacious feeling. The kitchen and living room is open plan. The sleeping loft overlooks the living room area. The main bedroom has a large skylight and large windows. The tv is separated from the main area of the house. The basement is comfortable, well lit, has it’s own half bath and opens to the outside. The laundry area is in a separate ell of the basement. The house sits in a meadow overlooking fields, a steep forested ridge and Sherman’s Creek. A line of trees shield it from the lightly traveled road.

I cannot give enough credit to these wonderful host. The amount of detail in both of their houses is incredible. You won’t regret the peaceful experience. I highly recommend staying at both of their properties. I have stayed multiple times and will be coming back. This is my little peace of heaven. If you’re on the fence between this place another property. Just choose this place. The front porch with rocking chairs with the scenery will have you coming back! Best place to unwind and regroup from the burn out of daily stress.
This was a home to us! It is obviously well loved. Wonderful, enchanting decor! Plenty of room to relax. We will look forward to coming back.
Beautiful uniquely furnished home in a lovely private location. Wonderfully serene grounds with an expansive back porch complete with rocking chairs and plenty of hummingbirds! Lynne was a wonderful host and super responsive. You can tell a lot of care and attention to detail went into the home. Everything you need to enjoy a peaceful stay!
Lynne and Michael are fantastic hosts. This location exceeded all of our expectations, and the reality is far superior to the photographs. Peace, serenity, being surrounded by nature, and the city's silence. We wanted to see the stars at night, and as expected, the sky provided us with a spectacular show. We were pleasantly surprised to see gorgeous birds arriving during the day, which provided us with excellent photographic opportunities. The interior of the house is extremely well designed, and it is notable that they added many personal touches, demonstrating their love and effort to make every group that visits the site feel welcome. This home is a hidden jewel, as Airbnb often says. Thank you Lynne and Michael, we want to come back many times, and we will. And Yes, we recommend 100%
Lynne's Owl House is such a lovely & peaceful getaway nestled in gorgeous natural surroundings. The house itself is very spacious and a cozy, comfortable, & well-designed retreat. All the little touches and detail around the house were so enjoyable to discover and Lynne was incredibly accommodating and helpful to us during our stay. Be sure to check out her lovely, colorful & artistic mosaic work around the space. Highly recommend!!

Our names are Lynne and Mike. We have lived on this eighty acre farm for over forty years and love its peace and beauty. We enjoy watching local wildlife like the herons, deer, turkeys, and bald eagles. Sherman’s Creek runs the length of our farm and is always a delight.
