This was the most expensive hotel/airbnb we’ve ever stayed at (based on nightly rate). The cost was acceptable given the limited options in Hāna and the unbeatable location + views from the unit. What was unacceptable, especially for the price we paid, was the roach infestation. We spotted them everyday in/around the bathroom, exterior door, and finally a large dead one on the kitchen counter. We noticed them since the first day and even saw roach traps around the unit indicating that this was an existing problem that we weren’t warned of. This left us with a very uneasy feeling throughout our stay. We didn’t reach out to the host to resolve this as we didn’t imagine dealing with pest control/inhaling bug spray/spending time relocating on our honeymoon. Instead, we made sure to close the bathroom doors with the lights on at night so they won’t come out. We spent most of our days outdoors and were ultimately relieved to leave. Could’ve been an amazing stay if this wasn’t an issue.

The Hana Kai Maui condo is right on the beach. The views from the windows and outside deck are amazing! It has only a few other condos in the building, so relatively private. Very quiet and peaceful. Well furnished and very clean. The communication before arrival was very detailed and helpful. I would happily recommend this location for short and longer stays, romantic or family vacations, and would happily stay there again. Hana has four beaches and several parks nearby to hike and explore.

A beautiful place with all the utilities you need. Staff available 8-5 to answer questions at the location. Personally I had poor phone reception but others in party had better reception. I only mentioned this due to possible emergencies at night. Otherwise, I felt safe, it was super clean, beautiful beach, able to walk down to the beach, perfect location in the heart of Hāna, short walk or drive to food and grocery store, parks and beaches. A wonderful experience for my family. Thank you.

What a beautiful place to indulge in relaxation and adventure. I love Hana, and this magical place has become among my favorite to stay! The views from the room of the Black Sand Beach were incredible. Stunning place to watch the sun rise and set. I will definitely book again next time I visit the area! Thank you so much!
