Beautiful get away and wonderful hosts! We had such a great experience staying at the Sugar Shack in the winter. The cozy cabin was situated in a beautiful forest that was secluded and quiet. The bed was extremely comfortable and the cabin had all the amenities required, including potable water, stove and bbq and firewood. Darrell and Lee-la were such wonderful, kind hosts and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. Darrell personally groomed the snow trails and offered to carry our belongings to the cabin as it’s a short hike away. Darrell even brushed off the snow off our car when we were checking out! Their generosity and kindness won’t be forgotten. We won’t forget our time as we recharged our spirits and souls spending our time reading in the cabin and walking in the woods.

The Sugar Shack was the perfect escape from everyday life in our loud corner of the city. We went for winter hikes and snuggled up by the cozy fire in the cabin. It's a fantastic place for couples or a fun trip with your best friend. I would even feel completely safe going alone. We are already planning our next visit and can't wait to return! Darrell and Lee-Ila, thank you for letting us spend time in your amazing space. Seriously, you both put so much work into making it such a special place. We are truly grateful for our time spent here at the Sugar Shack. From the start we felt welcomed by Darrell and Lee-lla as if we were family. The attention to detail with the cabin, as well as the surrounding trails, is something to behold. Thank you for letting us enjoy this little slice of paradise. We had a fantastic stay at the sugar shack! We were welcomed with incredible hospitality that goes above and beyond any other experience with air bnb. The cabin was clean, cozy and equipped with everything we needed and more. All we had to do was bring food and everything else was ready for us! We enjoyed the trails around the property, a few campfires and cozy evenings in their well furnished cabin. Overall, we couldn’t recommend this more as the perfect weekend get away. We were able to disconnect from our lives and close enough to a number of wonderful outdoor attractions to keep us busy with adventure! For anyone looking to relax and enjoy nature, this is the place to go!! We are certainly coming back!

I felt very lucky for both the place and the host (Darrell) Very clean and peaceful, although it was rain during my stay but it was really worth it. One thing I was worried about it is outside shower under the starts, but that was the best shower I ever had 😂. Everything was well maintained and Darrell was willing to help at any time and whatever I asked for . Thank you Darrell for being patient with me .
