We had a great long weekend in Hocking Hills and Athens. The house was perfect for our group of 7 college friends to relax and spend quality time together. We loved the wood burning stove in the living room, the hot tub area on the deck and screened in back porch on the lower level. We enjoyed cooking and the kitchen came fully stocked with everything we needed (be sure to bring extra trash bags, paper towels and coffee filters). Doug was very responsive with any questions we had (check on firewood before you come) and Instacart delivered our groceries for us. Our pre-scheduled Lyft did not show up so plan accordingly if you plan on venturing out. Overall a great stay!

The aesthetic of the house was nice & the flow was conducive to our group of 10. We liked having bedrooms on the 1st & 3rd levels with the common spaces between them. The hot tub and arcade game were our favorite amenities. The bathrooms were equipped with plush, oversized towels, upscale soaps and shower supplies. Our main complaint was the lack of kitchen supplies. For a 3 night stay, we were provided with only 1 roll of paper towels, 2 dishwasher tablets, and no dish soap. At our request, the host had someone bring out the items we needed. Each bathroom also had only 2 extra rolls of toilet paper, which was just barely enough to get us through. It was frustrating, considering what we paid to stay there, that these items weren't more plentifully stocked so that we didn't have to worry about it. Although the house was overall clean, there was a lot of debris under beds and a bunch of food under the chair cushions. Finally, the living room lacks enough seating (only seats 5).

Loved the place! Host was very responsive and had a great sense of humor. New furniture to seat at least 8 people would make this place a 5 star.

The AirBnB was beautiful. It was prestine and located in a fairly remote area. It was perfect for a private cabin getaway with all the amenities. Doug was an amazing host. He was very responsive and helpful. They don't joke about the steep hill. A suv and AWD is definitely needed. I would recommend to everyone and would definitely come again.

It was our first visit to Hocking Hills and we couldn't have stayed at a better place. Doug has a beautiful home it was warm and inviting. The home feels very private up on the hill and I'm sure in the Spring and Summer when the trees are full it's even more. Doug was very responsive and helpful before and during our stay. The house was very clean and well stocked with towels, cleaning supplies, linens, EVERYTHING you could need/want in the kitchen. Our group loves to cook when we're together so this was huge for us. The beds were super comfortable. <Essential to a group of over 40 year olds who all have toddlers> There were 9 of us, but only 3 couples so, we ended up taking an air mattress just in case and were pleasantly surprised to find that both the couches pulled out into beds. The hot tub was perfect. We had the best time here. Lots of room to spread out and be alone to relax or gather for games and meals. We would definitely book again!
