We immediately felt at home in Sharon and Steve’s lovely apartment and appreciated the thoughtful touches such as a bottle of milk in the fridge and a bar of deliciously scented Orange Blossom soap in the bathroom. The kitchen was well equipped for our two week stay and we appreciated the fresh linen and towels that were provided at the end of our first week. The apartment is incredibly well located with a Carrefour City a few doors away as well as a fabulous Boulangerie and fromagerie. The covered market and some wine shops are just around the corner. There are also many excellent restaurants nearby (Our favourites were La Rideau Rouge and Brasserie à 4 Temps. Agape, which is a little further away, was a great place for dinner (although a booking is likely to be necessary). Sharon and Steve were excellent hosts and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the apartment. We hope to return to Carcassonne and to this apartment!

Sharon and Steve are obviously experienced hosts. Any small issues which arose were dealt with immediately, in a friendly way, and they were very easy to contact. The facilities of the flat (which really is stylish, as described) were excellent, down to extras such as a proper teapot and a hot water bottle. The whole flat was cosy and the bed was comfortable. There was always a good supply of hot water. The washing machine was easy to use, and we were pleased that detergent was provided, as it is hard to buy a small amount for a short stay. The television has Netflix etc but also UK TV channels, which was terrific for us English speakers. Everything was in walking distance. We had a nice relaxed time.
