Staying at The Attic was such a wonderful experience, it was even more beautiful than the pictures. The rooms were very clean and well-prepared with all the amenities mentioned. They also changed the two single beds into one double bed to accommodate the baby. But the main highlight of this stay was Sangeeta Aunty and Udaya Uncle. They are by far one of the best hosts that I stayed with in any homestay. They are equally very kind, friendly and knowledgeable people to spend time with. I highly recommend spending some time with Udaya Uncle to get to know many stories about Darjeeling and other adventures he had over their lifetime. Also, don't miss the chance to have a lovely home-cooked lunch/dinner prepared by Sangeeta Aunty which was such a delight. You will get to enjoy local and seasonal dishes that may only be available around that time of the year. She also prepared something specially for us on my sister's birthday which was very kind and thoughtful of them.

Truly a Super Host! The hosts were so warm and welcoming, felt like we were part of the family! Loved the home, the views, the interiors and DO NOT miss out on the authentic Nepali/Bhutanese food prepared by the host! We wish had more time to spend with the family. Darjeeling would be incomplete without the stay here! 10/10 Recommend!!!!

We stayed with Sangeeta and Udaya for two nights and it was amazing. We had a wonderful time at the house and great conversations with Udaya and Sangeeta. It was a privilege to learn about their rich family history and contribution to Nepali literature. Sangeeta made us amazing and eloborate Nepali dinner. Udaya's breakfast were no less. Rooms were clean and tastefully furnished. The view from the house balcony is simply stunning. We highly recommend this gem of place and hosts.

It is a unique experience. First of all -- the hosts. Never seen anyone more caring and hospitable. Sangeeta Ma'am and Udaya Mani will take care of everything for you -- including guiding you over the phone to Darjeeling; arranging for your car parking within a safe enclosure; provide valuable recommendations for your trips in and around Darjeeling. Next -- the rooms! Not just because the house is beautiful -- but its location. The King of the Mountains right there in front of you - visible from every room. Next -- the gastronomy. Perfect to the tee, the sumptuos food which is home cooked with care and unique in taste. And finally -- the interactions. They are living wikipedia - and I realized -- so much motivational to learn from them. Life so exciting and happening and so much to do for the society needs to be learnt from them. All in all, the visit will definitely change the way you look at the world. A place where i would recommend all to get the experience and will keep visiting

Udaya and Sangeeta are wonderful. Extremely welcoming and resourceful with both local, and distant recommendations. Would love to return in the winter months for the views!
