奥兰多 · 整套平房 · 2室3床2.0卫 · 可住5人 · King/Queen Bungalow w/ porch | central vibey area
Our 1920's historic home is nestled in a quiet neighborhood just a few blocks from everything. The ColonialTown North district of Orlando (also called Mills/50) is a vibrant, central area with exceptional walkability to grocery stores, a trendy bar scene, LOTS of coffee and boba options, foodie restaurants and casual late night eats. When you're ready, retreat to our porch swing and watch the sunset reflect off the trees. We lived in this space for four years and left it just as we created it. You’ll be staying in a generous, 1200 square foot private space that served as our home for several years until my wife and I built our attached addition in the back. We really look forward to providing you an amazing and relaxing stay! At our home you’ll experience: -Front porch life -King and Queen Beautyrest beds with luxurious bamboo sheets -Pullout Twin XL -Two full bathrooms -Three smart TV’s (Netflix and HBO loaded) -Coffee station including decaf and tea options. Keurig, batch brew and French press. -Snack station -Full size refrigerator, toaster oven, air fryer, microwave, bowls, glassware and silverware (no stove - read below) -Private desk area with fiber internet speeds -Free washer and dryer in unit w/ detergent! -Minutes from Downtown. -10 minutes to Winter Park. -20 minutes to Universal Studios! -30 minutes to Disney and the airport! Message us for any Orlando-area advice! We are happy to help whether you book with us or not. Walking up to our house, you’ll find a welcoming front porch with lots of greenery, an outdoor sofa and a swing. The front door opens up to a living room with comfortable West Elm furniture and a working fireplace (for those rare cold Florida nights). I think you’ll notice the house feels open, airy and bright with wood floors running throughout. The "kitchenette" feels and functions like a spacious kitchen with adjoining bar seating and a dining area, but we were unfortunately asked to remove the stove to meet zoning requirements. While cooking may be limited, feel free to order in food, use our air fryer, microwave or toaster oven… or take a walk to a nearby restaurant instead. Our neighborhood is known for its Vietnamese flair, but there are numerous options within a mile or less with easy parking. In place of a stove, we added a fun coffee bar with a regular brewer, single cup Keurig and French press! On the counter to the right, you’ll see an electric kettle and tea station, if that suits you better. You'll find the two bedrooms in our bungalow to be plenty spacious, each with a closet and a smart TV. Our Queen room is equipped with a trundle bed that features a comfy pull-out Twin XL. We have two full bathrooms. One bathroom is standard size with a tub and the other is more compact, but with beautiful subway tile and a walk-in shower with glass enclosure. A hallway off the kitchen area passes by our laundry machine which you are welcome to use during your visit free of charge. Continuing along that short hallway leads to an office area carve-out seen in photos. Our fiber internet connection should be plenty fast enough for your needs. If you're needing a secluded place to get a little work done, this was one of my favorite nooks.
Both the place and the hosts were lovely. It had beautiful 1920’s windows/doors and comfy beds and a great coffee bar, but the breezy front porch was the best. The hosts were very accommodating and helpful.
This house was very charming and located perfectly. I did not have much communication with the host, Chris, as there was never any issues with our stay. I would definitely recommend house if you’re looking to stay in the Orlando area.
Had a fantastic stay here with my 2 kids, 12 and 15. The only thing led than ideal was that there was no oven or stove. Did not think to check the details for that. Other than that, absolutely amazing.
Thank you Chris and congratulations! Your place was perfect for our stay. Very easy and thank you for everything. Snacks and waters and COFFEE Galore! We had fun! Debbie
The Mills/50 area of Orlando is about as central as you can be without involving yourself in all the Downtown Orlando traffic. Our neighborhood is right on the immediate outskirts of Downtown. We are a 5 minute drive to the interstate (I4), 20 minutes to Universal Studios, 30 minutes to Disney and the airport, but our neighborhood’s main draw is its proximity to everything in real cultural Orlando. Just minutes from…
-Lake Eola Park
-Lake Ivanhoe
-Amway Arena
-Camping World Stadium
-Exploria Stadium
-Dr Philips Performing Arts Center
-Shakespeare Center
-Orlando Museum of Art
-Orlando Science Center
-Winter Park, and more!
The food in this neighborhood is great! BBQ, Authentic Chinese, Thai, Japanese, Tapas, Mexican and Italian options are available, but you’ll find we’re known for the Vietnamese influence in our area. Even our Cajun restaurant has a Vietnamese flair. Lastly, if you’re traveling for medical reasons to one of our world class hospitals, they are also a short drive away.
Orlando is definitely a driving city and we’d recommend not relying too much on public transportation. That said, our immediate neighborhood is very walkable if you want to grab a bite or get some coffee. You can reach everything within a 5-15 minute walk. Parking can easily be found on the street or in designated parking lots when you choose to drive.
