We loved our stay at the barn. It was cosy, relaxing and rustic. We were greeted with all the things we needed to make our stay lovely. We absolutely loved Tina and her babies and my son enjoyed waiting for their arrival each morning. We electric blankets on the bed were so lovely for our cold Tassie mornings and we loved how peaceful and quiet it was. Jeff and Isabelle were so lovely and so accommodating.

We were 4 adults (two guests from Canada). There were no wardrobes for our 5 nights stay. The water supply was cut off on night3 without notice. One of us were on blood pressure medication, the side effect is diuretics. It was an unpleasant night. Water was reinstated on the morning of day4 after knocking on the door of host's residence. We were informed that the pump played up and had to be switched off. We cancelled our trip to Cradle Mountain due to the water supply problem. In the evening of day4, we learned that water was trucked into the property (noting that we had 10 showers, 2 breakfasts and prepared 1 dinner on the property between night1 to night3). If we were informed in the morning of day4 about the water shortage, we would have made arrangements to find alternative accommodation. There is traffic noise as property is just off the main road. As we spent day time sight seeing, the amenities at the property left a stressful, uncongenial imprint on our Canadian guests.

We had a great time at Isabeau's place. Weather was on the cold side but a portable heater and heated blanket were provided. Isabeau was always prompt to reply any question we had, which was well appreciated. We couldn't really enjoy the starry sky - due to bad weather and a very bright moon. We did, however, enjoy the daily visit of Tina the turkey with her offspring, as well as the occasional night visit of the wallabies passing by the doors and windows.

Izzy is very accommodating and was quick to respond to all our questions and requests. The barn is located in a very quiet area so is good if you want peace and relaxation. It has been nicely renovated but if you are expecting small and cozy this is probably not the place. It is very open, with the main bedroom open to the living area. This is not to say that it’s not comfortable, it is lovely.

We loved staying here for our holiday in Hobart. Great place to stay alongside the resident turkey Tina. It was so nice to have milk in the fridge for that cup of tea or coffee after a long drive. Great assortment of cereal and a loaf of bread for the early risers in the family.
