The Master loft also has a pedestal table and chairs and a dream en-suite with a soaker tub and spacious waterfall shower. The Canter room has a tranquil ambiance with a white horse mural and its own private full ensuite. The Canter room features deluxe bedding on a comfortable queen bed and closet space. Relax in the Great room, with its floor-to-ceiling windows and leather sectional couch, or prepare a meal in the enormous kitchen with its gas stove and 10' fir slab bar with stools. This was our second time staying at Chara’s place and it was just perfect. You can’t beat the location and coziness of this house. We had 4 couples and were all very comfortable in our own spaces. The downstairs is soundproof and perfect for putting our baby to bed while the rest of us stayed up chatting. Would recommend this spot to anyone looking! Loved that we parked our car and didn’t move it all weekend! Thanks, Chara!
The place is extremely well located and Chara is super helpful and responsive. The apartment is beautiful and perfect for a large group of people.
Chara’s house was the perfect place to unwind and explore Nelson after an epic ski trip in Baldface. Modern, beautiful natural light, plenty of space, well-stocked kitchen and centrally located. Chara is very responsive and helpful!
We loved our stay on Jam Factory Lane. We found everything we needed, including restaurant recommendations, kitchen pans & gadgets, nice linens, and plenty of empty drawers/ cabinets. The two apartments operate separately, or everyone can congregate in one or the other for meals and hanging out. Everything worked well and it was easy to either head to the mountains or going the other direction, walk into restaurants / coffee / stores. We did hear the train once each morning, and sometimes in the late afternoon, but it faded into the background for the most part and was fun to hear/ watch. My only suggestions would be a little more adjustability for the fireplace output, and a place/system for recycling, but those were minor concerns. It was a great place!
This was one of the nicest Airbnb spots we have stayed at. Chara was responsive and helpful. The inside pictures on the site are exactly what you get. It was well laid out and had everything you needed to be comfortable. When we arrived, there was a nice bottle of wine and a freshly baked loaf of bread. The lights were on and the fireplaces were going. It is obvious that Chara cares.

Nestled in the heart of Nelson, the Lamplighter boutique guesthouse is just a short walk from fabulous coffeehouses, sidewalk cafes, amazing restaurants, and the local art scene.
The Lamplighter is located in a quiet neighborhood, separate from any highway or downtown noise. A 15-minute walk will take you to the lakeside pathway, which stretches along the shore past the mall and through Lakeside Park to the orange bridge.
In addition to its convenient location, the Lamplighter is also close to Cottonwood Falls and the Saturday market, as well as Gyro Park and its famous view lookout.
For hikers, Elephant Mountain's Pulpit Rock lookout is also within easy reach.
With everything from the hustle of the city center to business district to serene beaches and natural parks all within walking distance, the Lamplighter offers the best of both worlds.
WALK ANYWHERE in town from The Lamplighter. Park in the Lamplighter driveway. If your party has more than 2 vehicles, please park one behind the other in the carport.
In summertime a restored streetcar is fun to ride between the Prestige Hotel and Lakeside Park.
The turn off to Whitewater Ski Resort is about 12 min away. There is also a ski hill shuttle leaving a block away from us at the Hume hotel. (Please check with them)

My husband Michael and I love staying in Airbnbs around the world. We enjoy meeting new people and appreciate a great, comfy bed and a beautiful place to stay. We have memories of great hosts we have met from Mauritius to Paris to Zanzibar:) I love to spend lots of time decorating and upgrading details of my space. A good day for me might be painting the walls and buying new pillows or furniture, as well as connecting with people from all around. I also love cooking a delicious meal, listening to Michael play the guitar & spending time with family, friends and our new grandson. Nelson is an awesome home for us as we love the eclectic Baker St shops and restaurants. I’ve been here over 30 years. Living downtown, we walk to the movies, grab a special coffee or stroll down to the lake. Hope you love your stay and can’t wait to come again!
