I enjoyed my stay, The cabin is so clean and cozy. The outdoor area is so beautiful and peaceful. I loved the fire pit and used it every night. Great cabin.
We absolutely loved our stay! The cabin was cozy and you can't beat the views. The surrounding area is quiet and it was great to have a fully stocked kitchen. We'll be back for sure!
If you're looking for that "Montana vibe", Cottonwood Cabin is the perfect place! Sitting in the middle of horse farms and fields just outside of Bozeman and near Gallatin Gateway, its the perfect log cabin experience. We're from Florida, so it was magical! Our daughter works in Big Sky, so it was only a 40 minute drive from her place in Big Sky Town Center...but she slept on the couch for four nights and raved at how comfortable it it was! Easy drive into Bozeman to great shopping and restaurants, after a day of skiing, we even hit Dune 2 at the Regal Cinema, only 12 minutes away. Warm and rustic...it was the only way to go when visiting Bozeman, and like I said, only 40 minutes from Big Sky. The best part, one of the Hosts, Shelby, is a baker and the house is outfitted with all the goods to make a pie, cake or cookies!! The perfect log cabin stay in the Great State of Montana. Thanks Jake and Shelby! We'll be back in August!... Kevin, Morag and Liz Rosa, Santa Rosa Beach, FLA
This cabin is an absolutely dream. Jake, the host, was wonderful and communicative. The place was exactly as described, if not better. Everything you could ask for was provided and the location/surroundings were impeccable. Will absolutely rent again and would absolutely recommend to anyone.
Law Rd is a dirt road outside the small community of Gallatin Gateway, which was named for being the starting point for early Yellowstone tourists. Your cabin is 20 minutes to downtown Bozeman, 25 minutes to the airport, 40 minutes to Big Sky, 40 minutes to Bridger Bowl, and 1 hour and 15 minutes to the West Yellowstone entrance. You will be about as centrally located for the above destinations as possible.
Our road is generally quiet with the occasional car driving by, and you'll be able to really soak in the slow living our cabin has to offer.
You'll need a car to get to almost all popular destinations, but there is a beautiful walk/bike route that can be taken if you head south on Law Rd, take caution crossing South Cottonwood Rd, and then continue past the green house along Yonder Rd. It can be muddy if it's been raining or melting snow! It can be as long as 2 miles one way if you keep continuing along it, but there isn't really a short walking loop so it's more of an out and back type of walk.
