The views alone set this home apart. Bethel is a wonderful town with plenty of amenities and rural charm. The house is 2 miles from a grocery store , several restaurants and shops. Nearby are countless hikes and activities such a mountain biking, golf, swimming, fishing, paddling, bowling, breweries, etc. The home sits on a country road with a large back yard and access to a private path and waterfront on the river. The river is sandy and slow moving so it is generally okay for swimming but be careful of the current or flowing objects that might pass by. Detailed layout of the home (see picture blueprint): You enter through the 3-car garage and go up a set of stairs. From there you can either go down the hallway to 3 bedrooms (king, queen, bunk room) and a bathroom with a tub style shower. If you turn the other way, you enter into the kitchen, dining, and family room with a full bathroom (shower stall). From here there is access to a screened in porch and grill or you can head up another level to laundry, two bedrooms (queen, and king w/ a bunk bed as well) and a full bathroom with a tub style shower. Outside is a hot tub, dart board, huge back yard, and 5 acres of farm field with river access. The river is down below the farm field and requires climbing down a ladder. The water level of the river can change several feet depending on the season but in the summer it is generally about 6 feet below the riverbank with a small sandy area. This river is great for fishing or paddling. If your group can do it, I highly recommend doing a river float with Sport Thoma rentals. It takes about 3-4 hours and is usually very calm with a few swim stops along the way.
