Step off the grid in our newly renovated home. This historic house has a large porch, a spacious living room and modern kitchen. The 2 rental bedrooms feature brand new, queen-sized beds and a shared bathroom. Greet your morning with a beautiful sunrise and stay up late to catch our brilliant night skies. On most days, our guests are welcome to meander through our vineyard or take a back country hike. Take a day trip to Portal, and The Chiricahua National Monument for birding, views, and hiking. Step off the grid and get back to mother nature in our newly renovated home by the owners of Page Springs Cellars Vineyard and Winery. The perfect retreat for those seeking solace from the daily grind. Early risers can catch outstanding sun rises or sleep in and catch the nighttime desert stars and planets in our dark sky neighborhood. Although we are a vineyard at work, strolling through our vineyard is encouraged on most days and it's possible to see wild animals like our canyon turkeys, foxes, deer, coatis. Our location is remote so get in the mood to take some time to slow down. Relax Welcome to The Colibri House where you’ll find the journey and destination are equal in importance. Our large wrap around porch is the perfect space to lounge with a book, birdwatch, or use our outdoor café tables for dining. Inside, you’ll find a spacious living room with a big cozy couch for watching movies on our DVD player. Our modern kitchen is fully equipped with the tools you need to prepare delicious meals and enjoy at our large family farm table in our special dining room. The 2 rental bedrooms feature brand new queen size comfortable beds with blackout curtains for the ultimate sleep experience and a shared bathroom. The Vineyard What truly sets our property apart is that we are a working vineyard. Colibri vineyard is known for Rhone grape varieties grown in rhyolitic loam soils. Colibri grapes are picked into a refrigerated truck at designated dates and driven immediately to Page Springs Cellars for the winemaking team. Eric Glomski, Owner and wine grower of Page Springs Cellars spends the majority of the harvest season (August-October) at this vineyard overseeing the health and growth of the grapes. If you are interested in an Air B&B experience, you can schedule picking grapes with Eric and his crew, and have him prepare special cocktails, pontificate over Colibri wines, and feast on his home made dinners during your rental time. Limited availability. The Wine You can also purchase a bottle of Page Springs Cellars wine made from the Colibri grapes, or hike to the famous neighboring archway. The Adventure We’re in close driving proximity to the birding town of Portal which has amazing hikes and a great small town restaurant with inside and outside seating. Occasionally, the Portal Restaurant has outdoor live music shows! While cooking at The Colibri house is our favorite thing to do, there’s another great food option driving distance away in Rodeo. It’s called Sky Island Grill and Grocery, a small provisional store with good tasting take away foods. Our goal is to help you relax and unwind away from daily stress. Some friends and I were lucky enough to find Gayle’s beautiful home for a birdwatching trip. The beds were extremely comfortable as were the couches. We loved the kitchen because it has everything you need to cook a good meal. The surrounding canyon area is teaming with wildlife- nesting birds, coatimundi etc… We enjoyed the wrap-around porch with deep shade to have breakfast and lunch. We saw an immature Cooper’s hawk flying during one breakfast. We would love to come back, especially because we want to taste some of the wine!
There are few places in Arizona that offer such serenity and tranquility as this beautiful home surrounded by one of this state's most renowned and venerated vineyards. Its worth the trip just to be tucked into this small, majestic canyon with the imposing Chiricahua's surrounding you and waiting to be explored, let alone with such comfortable accommodations, generous hosts, and kind neighbors. Which included the deer, lots of turkeys, and even a family of coatis that I saw. It was a true pleasure to stay and truly a special place. Thanks, I hope to be back sooner than later.
The Colibri House is a beautiful and well equipt space in a gorgeous and remote vineyard. It is the marriage of a rustic cabin and modern dwelling. One is surrounded by stone mountains, trees, and birds. Any cook will delight in the kitchen (regardless of electric stovetop), any writers can drink up the quiet, any birders do not have to go far as they will see birds right out the window, and any family can enjoy thier time together in this special place.
This place serves up a slice of peace & serenity that life rarely offers. My husband and I celebrated our 6 year wedding anniversary there which happens to be in July. In-spite of the excessive heat warning, I can’t imagine a more romantic & relaxing and place. The house is so comfortable, you can tell it’s been loved for many years, but has most definitely been recently renovated…with beautiful attention to detail and all the modern amenities. The vibe in the space is a lovely blend of farmhouse chic with gorgeous mid-century modern furnishings peppered in. So sexy! The most magical part of our experience was hanging out on the covered porch (wine in hand) that overlooks the gardens, grapevines & mountains, we enjoyed birdwatching stargazing, and a chorus of crickets! At the end of our trip we could barely bring ourselves to leave! Rubbing elbows with the pristinely manicured vineyards juxtaposed against the rugged wilderness was nothing less than other-worldly.

The house is remote and connected to Colibri Vineyards. We have beautiful sunrises and dark sky viewing. It's common to see wild animals like Gould's turkeys, coatimundi, and sometimes the rare sandhill cranes will fly over. There are bushwhacking hikes from the house and amazing hiking in the next town, Portal which is known as a bird watching mecca.
Free, easy to access and safe parking at the house. Most days, walking through the vineyard is encouraged as well as bushwhacking hikes and birdwatching from the house. For trail hiking with amazing vistas, or for a few restaurant options, the drive to Portal is about 20 minutes
