Makala and Rich’s property was everything we expected, and more. It is such an incredibly beautiful home with wonderful surroundings. I needed to reach out with some questions and Makala was prompt and very helpful with her responses. My family was completely relaxed and enjoyed the kayaks and canoe. It was a wonderful setting to have a bonfire right at the lake shoreline. On our last evening, we were fortunate to see 2 beautiful elk walking right across the lake. Makala and Rich have done an amazing job offering a peaceful retreat for families. Our hope is to return as repeat guests.

We were very pleased with this beautiful, clean, spacious log home in its very quiet and private setting. We used the kayaks to explore Beaver Lake, cooked, built fires in the fireplace and took breathtakingly beautiful walks with the dogs at Red Granite Falls (part of Copper Falls State Park in Mellen) and at Day Lake. The fall colors illuminated the landscape so warmly. We would love to return in winter and summer seasons, too!

The pictures didn't lie. The home is beautiful inside and out. Loved the wrap around porch with coverage from the sun. You pay for private lake and peaceful surroundings and it did not disappoint. Having kayaks and a canoe was a huge plus and we used them all. Would be nice to have 2 beds in one of the rooms, but certainly not a deal breaker. We will book again. There is a gas station a mile away that has just about anything you might have forgotten, so that was a nice bonus.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The place was very clean and all amenities matched the description. We were able to take advantage of the kayaks and canoe that was available to us. The place was very private and we felt much at home. Beautiful home, beautiful surroundings. This place did not disappoint. My only negative was that it was a bit pricey for such a remote location.
