Preamble: I used to live on Lantau as a kid, so my review is coloured with a dose of nostalgia. Accessible by boat only, Peng Chau offers a combination of tranquil isolation & accessibility. The half-hour, A/C'd ferry ride from Central is in itself a nice way to unwind after a busy day in the city. Jhenn's place is a 5-minutes' walk away from the pier, during which the smell of the sea mingles with incense as the route winds through a village that has older buildings, complete with incense holders outside of their main doorways. While the route isn't straightward, Jhenn sent out a video clip that makes it easy to find. I arrived at 10:45 p.m., and she came to the pier to walk me back to the place. The shared dormitory style unit was clean, with 2 rooms that can be locked. A/C was noisy but effective. Kitchen was rudimentary and serves as a thoroughfare to the shared bathroom. Bed and beddings were comfortable. It's a no frills unit, in a unique locale. Great for a retreat.

It’s really a good place here,so peaceful and also convenient. store,supermarket,cafe,restaurant…You just come and relax. Jhenn is a super nice and beautiful host.Next time I go Peng Chau,hope I can stay in Hidden Paradise again^_^miss there already.
