Great place to stay during a weekend trip in the Gorge!
Elizabeth’s rental is exceptionally clean, well appointed, and stylishly renovated. I can appreciate the guidebooks and recommendations she put together for guests. She was responsive and quick to respond to our needs! The locations proximity to the NRG and restaurants is convenient. However, I did find the listing to be misrepresented in regard to its lack of privacy. The home is in a residential neighborhood with homes surrounding it. There was quite a bit of noise, specifically dogs barking very early in the morning. My baby woke up a few times because of the noise. We had some issues with dogs off of a leash, and my dog can become very anxious and upset. I think this listing would be great for hikers traveling child and dog free.
We had a great stay at Elizabeth's home! The location couldn't be more convenient for hiking in the New River- I think our longest drive was 35 minutes. The size of the home was perfect for our family of 5. The kitchen is not suitable for big cooking projects, but was enough to get us by for a few days. The only negative about our stay was the amount of dogs in the neighborhood- most are fenced in but many are not and made their way into our yard a few times (when we forgot to close the gate) and also in the driveway and trying to get into our car. My 4-year-old is terrified of dogs so we were more affected... this might not affect others as much.

Please note that you may occasionally hear passing trucks or dogs barking in the area.

Hey there! I'm Elizabeth, the creator, owner and host of Stay Delightful WV. Located in beautiful New River Gorge National Park, I started this vacation rental company to celebrate the beauty of the New River Gorge area and make it accessible for visitors to experience it first hand. As an enthusiastic vacation rental host & owner manager of vacation rental homes in the New River Gorge area (near Fayetteville, West Virginia) we've had the opportunity to interact with many wonderful people from all over the world. We'd love for you to stay with us on your next trip to the New River Gorge area. My Story A designer by trade, I have a passion for finding homes that need TLC and bringing them back to life. In 2014 I purchased the delightful bungalow have worked on renovating it ever since. In 2018 , I decided I wanted to share my home to help offset renovation costs and to provide a fun, unique space for visitors to stay while visiting the New River Gorge National Park. I am passionate about creating unique spaces and hosting others! In 2021, I renovated two more properties for guests, and am excited to share my homes with you. Throughout my home you will catch a glimpse of my unique design style, curated items and fun finds.
