Outside is sure to please everyone in the party too, with space for everyone to eat, drink & be merry… and a hammock to sleep it off for afters. We recommend getting the lay of the land amongst the three floors here before heading to the (showstopping!) BBQ Cabin to plot tomorrow’s course… but will you choose town, coast or countryside adventures first? With so much to see & do, we’d definitely earmark a Saturday potter through the weekly market, and a Sunday mooch along the Sea Wall… pack binoculars to watch the birds & boats at play + let the little ones try their hand at crabbing en-route. Spoilt for choice, you also have Brockenhurst’s pony-filled forest and the sparkly shores of Milford on Sea vying for a visit too… but, wherever you end up, come home to batten down the hatches and relax in style. Do contact us directly for best rates and availability a year in advance ** Inside Our characterful townhouse is ship-shape, and absolutely ideal for friends & families looking to explore the Lymington and the New Forest... Amongst its three floors you can expect nautical nods, top-notch kit, and a calming colour palette to make you all feel at home. We love how our Lymington escape blends all of the charm from its 1850's beginnings, with all of todays creature comforts... from rainforest showers to range cookers - you won't go without! With a 'semi' open-plan kitchen/diner/living room, the main space here feels lovely & social, with a TV and mooching area by the log burner, and a dining table next to the kitchens hatch... but there's also a conservatory/TV room (just off the ground floor bedroom) for anyone seeking sanctuary or a cat nap! After a night in the BBQ cabin, there's plenty of room for you to all hit the hammocks, with the downstairs bedroom + en-suite providing a great ground floor option. Upstairs, the family bathroom has ample room to scrub up, and there are three more gorgeous bedrooms to choose from... we shotgun the grown-up's 'crows nest' in the eaves. Whichever room you chose, you'll likely wake to the seagulls singing as a reminder that yet more coastal adventures await - what a way to start your day! Outside Sip, supper, stargaze... there's something for everyone to delight in amongst the garden... Little ones will love the outside play room, whilst grown ups can chat & chill on the sofa set-up out here (we imagine all ages will be vying for first dibs on the hammock too!). Behind the dining table & chairs at the bottom of the garden, you'll find perhaps the most perfect 'whatever-the-weather' spot to eat, drink & be merry; with a showstopper of a BBQ Cabin! There's plenty of room inside for the whole party to snuggle in as you cook up a feast & swap tales into the small hours. This gorgeous garden is a real bonus for adventurers, and we especially love how the tall trees (from the pub's garden next door) help frame the boundary to make you feel a million miles away from reality. Sleeping... Master bedroom - Ground Floor: Super king size bed with synthetic & feather bedding / Hair dryer. Bedroom 2: King size bed or twin with synthetic & feather bedding. Bedroom 3: Twins or super king with synthetic & feather bedding. Bedroom 4 - Loft room: King size bed with synthetic & feather bedding / Hair dryer. Bathrooms... Family Bathroom: Bath with separate rainforest shower, sink and wc. Shower room: Shower cubicle with sink and wc. All the rest... Kitchen: Oven & Microwave / American fridge freezer / Nespresso Coffee Machine / Toaster / Kettle / American fridge freezer / Dishwasher / Washing Machine / Dryer / Iron. Mod Cons: Samsung smart TV (BT Sports & multiple channels included) Great WiFi connection / 2 iPads / iPhone/iPad charger. Connectivity: Great WiFi connection. Kids' Stuff: A travel cot dimensions - 70c x 94cm, high chair and children's crockery & cutlery are available + there is a fab array of games on offer. Pets: Dogs are welcome in the downstairs area here - with a small charge per dog, per stay. Garden is well fenced and enclosed. Garden: BBQ garden cabin / Outside seating area with rattan furniture for 8 / Hammock area / Range gas BBQ. Parking: The driveway is suitable for two small-medium sized cars. Home truths There is an extra charge for logs and kindling to burn on the fire (October- March) but feel free to BYO! The staircase that leads from the first floor to the top floor is steep & small and not suitable for children. The Bosun's Chair pub is next door to Captain's Keep, but there haven't been any complaints or problems from guests to-date (this is actually one of the local's favourites!). Accessibility For guests looking for level living, there is a ground floor bedroom with a king bed and shower en-suite. From here you can also go through to the conservatory/TV room and on to the garden. Other things to note: We want our guests to enjoy the use of the property and have a memorable time while staying with us. We have a few house rules to note, as follows; - The property can not be used for parties or private events of any kind. - No groups under the age of 25. - Strictly no stag/hen dos or same-sex groups. - Additional guests, are not permitted without prior approval. - No music after 9pm - We must be notified of any pets at the time of booking. Dogs are subject to a charge per dog, per stay.
