Fijn verblijf! Duidelijke instructies en goed georganiseerd!

Everything went well with our stay. We arrived late, but check-in was very quick and the staff who welcomed us were even kind enough to order dinner for us before the kitchen closed. Communication was always very good, and the hotel staff even managed to arrange transportation for us to Kinabatangan at an affordable price. The space is in a rural area, at a non-walkable distance from the main points of interest in Sepilok, but since they provide a free transfer (at a pre-defined time) to the Orangutan Rehabilitation Center, it was very easy to follow our itinerary. The dormitories and cabins are also very well crafted, with a simple, appealing and sustainable design. We were sorry to have only spent one night in this accommodation. Highly recommended, and we hope to return one day.

We had a great stay! Beforehand, we didn’t realize this would be part of a resort with a beautiful view of the jungle. This was a pleasant surprise and in addition as they helped us arrange tours and transport and had lovely food. Can recommend!

This is a very rustic and basic treehouse accommodation which we expected. The room is very bright and open. There is a good hot shower, comfortable bed, air con, fan and mosquito net. It has nice views of the treetops which are tranquil. It is a perfect location in a peaceful hostel setting with views across the rainforest. It is a ten minute drive to the main rainforest centres in Sepilok and there is a free shuttle bus service or you can hail a Grab for £1. There is a bar/resting area where breakfast and food is served, and also hammocks to relax in. Staff at the hostel were friendly and helpful. The room was difficult to get a good sleep in as there were squirrels on the roof all night and also the water tank made noise. It is also very bright as the sunrises into the room at 5am so some curtains/blinds would be beneficial. There is also no partition between the bathroom and bedroom so limited privacy. It is very basic with limited space to put belongings.
