Welcome to our newly refreshed farmhouse barndominium that sits on 13 tranquil acres nestled in a holler less than a quarter mile from Mark Twain National Forest and the Current River. While this unique space is the perfect private getaway for you and the family, its location makes it easy for you to get around. You are: 1 mile to Current River Float Camp (swimming) 1 mile to Mark Twain National Park 5 miles to KC's on the Current (float trips) 4 miles to Doniphan 18 miles to Irish Wilderness Every aspect of this house has been thoughtfully constructed to furnish you with all of the creature comforts of home in a comfortable farmhouse experience. While our farmhouse barndominium is equipped to house 16 people, we think that the perfect group size is 10. We're happy to host all 16, but keep in mind that it will be a little cozier. Is that a cloud you're sleeping on? No silly, that's just our lavish queen-sized memory foam mattresses! Drift off into serene bliss to the sounds of hoot owls, whippoorwills, spring peepers, crickets, and many other nighttime critters. If we just had David Attenborough, you'd think you were in an episode of BBC's Planet Earth. Sure, eating out at great restaurants is super fun, but sometimes we need a home-cooked meal. Our kitchen (indoor and outdoor) is stocked with all of the essential utensils and dinnerware to exercise your culinary prowess. Get your Bobby Flay on! Just make sure you can do it on an electric stove or a propane grill. ;) ***** It has recently been brought to our attention that our description is stating that we have a flat-top grill. After consulting with Airbnb, they are unsure why it is stating that since it has been edited. We just want to make sure that our potential guests know what to expect. We currently DO NOT have a flat-top grill. We do have a regular, propane grill.
