A spacious, charming property that offers privacy and a view of Portage Lake I had not yet experienced. Host is responsive and thoughtful. Would reserve again.

We had a family group of 13 staying at the house, with 5 kids between 2 and 12 in that mix. It was very comfortable and laid out well for our group. There were a couple of minor bumps. 1) the GPS missed the location and we had to turn around and go back, minor inconvenience finding it initially; 2) originally, it wasn't clear the lower level bunk/game room was only accessible from outside; was clarified before we arrived; a little musty and needed some airing out. We had friends join us for dinner 3 nights, and even with rolling in and scrambling to get dinner ready, the grill and kitchen worked great with 15 around the table, the adults staying to talk and the kids rolling out to play; then board game time. Its older and rustic so be ready, but well stocked, comfortable and fun. 3 bathrooms was very helpful. 5 minute access to a really nice, sandy Lake Michigan beach/park. Great sunset views. Good information from the host. Artesian spring 1 minute down the road!

Nice location and lovely view. Enjoyed the hammock and outdoor seating areas. Hosts were very responsive and friendly. Upstairs bedrooms were as pictured, but we were surprised that access to the basement/bunk room was only via outdoor stairs. Host was appropriately responsive to this concern/feedback.
