菲普斯堡(Phippsburg) · 整套民居 · 3室3床2.0卫 · 可住6人 · Maine Tide House Overlooking Kennebec River
Steps from the Kennebec river, the Maine Tide house has sweeping water views that change as the tide moves in and out. Bright, open, and airy, the 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom home can accommodate six people. Fully furnished with modern and comfortable decor, the home is situated in northern Phippsburg - 5 minutes to downtown Bath, 20 to Popham beach, 15 to Brunswick, and 40 to Boothbay Harbor. Two desks w/ monitors, outdoor seating with a grill, and stocked kitchen make it the perfect getaway. Step inside our picturesque home with incredible waterfront views and large windows throughout the house. The primary bedroom has a King bed, a dedicated workspace with a monitor, a large walk-in closet, and a sitting area to look out over the 8-foot tides of the Kennebec river. The second bedroom features a Queen bed with wraparound windows covering two full walls and facing the water views, perfect for waking up and taking in the sunrise from bed. The third bedroom has a full bed, and all three bedrooms are steps away from an upstairs bathroom with a shower and bath. The living area features a wall of windows with beautiful river views, a large seating area with two couches, TV, books, puzzles, games and binoculars to watch our resident bald eagles fly across the river. The living room flows directly into a dining area with a large, driftwood table that can easily seat six for large meals. The kitchen is equipped with granite countertops, a dishwasher, gas stove, microwave, coffee maker, and stainless steel refrigerator. Fully equipped with pots, pans, utensils, dishes, and glassware, you will be able to cook all of your meals from the kitchen. Directly off the kitchen is a second full bathroom with a shower, washer, and dryer. The home has fast WiFi, efficient heating, and a smart TV with a range of apps, including Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, Apple, Disney+, and more. Maine summers tend to stay cool in the evenings, and there are window fans for each bedroom, as the home does not have air conditioning. There is a large deck that spans the length of the home and features Adirondack chairs, an outdoor dining table, gas grill, and wraparound bench. The deck opens up to a small yard (no gate) that leads directly to the river. The bank to the river is quite steep and there are no steps to the water's edge. The Kennebec is a tidal river and its depth changes substantially between low and high tide. At low tide, the house's waterfront becomes a tidal flat. What's Nearby: Directly across the causeway from the home and a quick walk away is Winnegance Restaurant & Bakery - our favorite spot in Midcoast Maine to get breakfast. Our home is located just a five minute drive from the historic shipbuilding town of Bath, where you can visit the Maine Maritime Museum, stroll down Maine Street to explore shops and galleries, grab a coffee or dinner, and visit the waterfront park, which hosts a farmer's market on Saturdays. Phippsburg is home to incredible hiking trails and what is often considered Maine's most beautiful beach, Popham. It takes about 20 minutes to drive to Popham beach where you can swim, sunbathe, walk along the four-mile beach, and explore the tidal pools at low tide as you walk out to Fox Island. The house includes beach towels, four beach chairs, and an umbrella for your convenience. Fort Baldwin is minutes away from Popham beach where you can explore the role the fort played in American history. Sebasco Resort, where you can play tennis and golf or take in a waterfront meal, is 15 minutes away. Beyond Phippsburg and Bath, the college town of Brunswick is only 15 minutes from the house and has incredible restaurants, breweries, entertainment, and shopping. You can also explore nearby peninsulas, including Harpswell, Georgetown, and Boothbay - all within 30 minutes. Get an infamous lobster roll from Red's in Wiscasset (20 min. away), go on an oyster river cruise in Damariscotta (30 min. away), or walk through historic Boothbay Harbor (40 min. away). The Freeport outlet malls and LL Bean's flagship store are 25 minutes away, and bustling Portland with its incredible restaurants is only 40 minutes away.
The perfect place for our family to stay while visiting our son at school. Felt like we were home and on vacation at the same time.
We had a wonderful stay at Ryan and Lauren's place. It is adorable and cozy and very well appointed. We had everything we needed. The location on the river is nice and we got to see lots of interesting wildlife (2 eagles, 2 cranes, a beaver and a fox). There were binoculars handy to look out onto the river. We had a day trip to Portland, one to Freeport (LL Bean), explored downtown Bath, and visited and walked the beach at Reid Park. Our adult son was attending a class at Shelter Institute for the week and the drive was not a bad one to get to class every day. Mother Nature did give us a pretty substantial snowstorm, but we did not lose power, which we were thankful for. Ryan and Lauren were very communicative to be sure we had what we needed. Overall, I would recommend Ryan and Lauren's place and would definitely stay there again if we would need to go to that area.
Great winter stay! We loved the house and area and being able to get away with our cats! The owners were very responsive and dealt with issues quickly. Overall a very nice place!
We had a wonderful post-Christmas stay with my parents and enjoyed every minute. The house is beautifully furnished, well appointed and well stocked. Beds are super comfortable. Ryan and Lauren were very responsive, even during the holidays. We really didn’t want to leave.
Historically known as Timber Island, the home is situated on a peninsula alongside the Kennebec river. The area is now often referred to as Winnegance for the nearby lake. Winnegance Restaurant & Bakery is a quick five minute walk from the house and is a great stop for breakfast, lunch, or even to pick up sandwiches before heading to the beach. Phippsburg is known for Popham beach, the most beautiful beach in Maine, which is a 20 minute drive down peninsula from the house. The neighborhood borders Bath, which has charming shops, restaurants, and a farmer's market each weekend. The area has many fantastic trails and sweeping views of the river and ocean.
You will want to have a car to get around the area. There are two parking spots in the private driveway of the home.
