BEAUTIFUL view and house, but cluttered, too many old,dusty objects that housekeeper Cynthia can't keep clean. what interested us was (1)river access(fishing), (2) barge to go the beach, (3)swimming pool, (4)Jacuzzi - in ALL of these we were disappointed:-(( . We said this to Cindy after booking, who said that the JACUZZI had been removed, and apologised for the many photos. We were disappointed, but figured we could swim in the pool or have a big bath in the huge tub (the BATH plug leaks, so THAT was out, too!) The POOL pump went off the week before during load-shedding( the fuse tripped) - it was green, so no pool! (granted, excessive rain did not help) We weren't informed. It was raining a lot before we went, so we asked if the river was overflowing and at that point, Cindy apologised that the BARGE had been stranded on the bank after the river had risen- reeds block the river - this happened MONTHS ago. So no river , no beach access. THE DESCRIPTION MUST BE UPDATED

What a wonderful stay. Beautiful home and lush surroundings. Cynthia was an absolute star! Very welcoming and taking care of our every needs. Fishing on the barge was soo much fun. As it is winter, the jacuzzi was fantastic. The stay was everything I wanted and more. We will definitely be back. Thanks for an amazing stay.

Wow, I have no words, when we had to leave, it felt like I had to leave a little piece of my heart behind. I have never had such an amazing vacations as this one, the place was amazing! Cynthia was the best thing about the house! She is so amazing, greeting you with a smile an coffee every morning, always lending a helping hand to help you prep your food, and never minds going the extra mile, I will miss her so much! Sedrick was also amazing, cleaning the barge, swimming pool, and the entertainment area every day. Everywhere we went Cynthia followed us, bringing pillows for the chairs, loungers for the swimming pool, picnic blankets, the works! The Barge was one of the favorite amenities with sundowners every day on the lagoon! Tinka was loved and spoiled by us all, and we will miss her dearly! This is certainly not goodbye, but until we meet again! Thanks for everything Westward Lodge, you have made a footprint in my heart, and I will talk about this vacation for years to come!
