The views are worth it alone! The house is in a wonderful area and is super spacious and comfortable.
The best way to describe this apartment is WOW! That view is just unbeatable. The apartment is pristine and so well appointed. My family of four was very comfortable staying here. We have 2 very young children (1 & 3) and I thought the layout & amenities made it a very good choice for us. They had a pack n play for my baby to sleep in (I did bring my own sheet, but I forgot to ask if they had one) and a high chair too, plus some kids books and games. The kitchen is beautiful, so clean and had everything you could need. Since this was a big trip for us with young children, I especially loved the master bedroom and master bathroom. It felt a little bit like we were staying in a hotel after we put the kids to bed. North Beach is a wonderful neighborhood to stay in. The apt is up a big hill (can't have that view without a hill!) so we ended up venturing out for the day by foot and it was easy enough on tiring days to take a bus close by and a Lyft the rest of the way. Highly recommend!
We stayed here for 4 nights. The place is on top of Telegraph Hill with lovely views of the Bay Bridge (beautiful sunrises), the Transamerica Building, and the SF skyline (outside). You can walk to North Beach, which has some of the city's good Italian eating establishments, and Coit Tower, one of San Francisco's top attractions, with 360-degree views of the city. On the way to Coit Tower (~ 10 min walk), you can also detour through the Filbert Steps down to Levi's Plaza and the Embarcadero (waterfront) area. The place is spacious, has an open-space concept, and has a lovely kitchen. We also appreciated all the amenities in the bathroom and the kitchen. The attached master bathroom and bedroom are very spacious. Something to bear in mind: Telegraph Hill is classic San Francisco with steep hills, an attraction of the city itself; However, walking, driving, and parking requires negotiating steep elevations.
The view of the bay from the living room picture window and the master bedroom is spectacular. The apartment is beautiful and very well stocked. Location at the top of Telegraph Hill combines close proximity to dining with a sense of peaceful seclusion.
This place is spacious and lovely. The views can’t be beat. You will have to walk up some hills if you want to walk around the city but that is part of the charm of San Francisco. The beds were comfortable, and the house was well stocked with everything we needed. Great place. Recommended without reservation.
Neighborhood: NORTH BEACH. North Beach, a buzzy neighborhood steeped in Italian heritage, draws locals and tourists to its checked-tablecloth trattorias, coffee shops and retro-flavored bars. The spirit of the Beat Generation can be felt at the storied City Lights bookstore and the memorabilia-filled Vesuvio Cafe bar. In Telegraph Hill the Filbert Steps offer a scenic hike to the iconic Coit Tower, with WPA-era murals and panoramic views.
PARKING SITUATION: There is no parking in the building. You can park on the street for free but it is limited to two hours during the day and unlimited during the night. Also pay attention to the street cleaning day signs. Or you can use one of the few parking garages located around the unit. There’s a parking garage across the street from the police station on Vallejo St and Columbus St that does over night (and is apparently super safe because there is a police station across the street). There’s another garage next to the restaurant Pellegrini at Columbus Ave. and Filbert St. - not sure if they do overnight. Others are located on:
766 Vallejo St.
699 Columbus Av.
721 Filbert St.
