Nana Glen · 农家乐 · 2室2床1.0卫 · 可住3人 · Unique Farm Stay - Horse Riding
This farm stay is anything but ordinary. Nestled in the Coffs Harbour hinterland with views over rolling hills and the Orara escarpment, Mimosa Farm is a working property where your hosts, Cherry and Drew breed and train performance sport horses and teach dressage. If you are interested in riding lessons, let us know and we can arrange a session or two. Or just relax on the cottage veranda and enjoy the views. Perfect for a relaxing weekend with as much or as little adventure as you want! The cottage is located adjacent to the main homestead. It is self contained with two bedrooms, separate bathroom and toilet, and living space with a kitchenette. The cottage has ducted heating/ aircon and a 3-stage rain water filtration system -- so no bottled water required. We have Starlink so you'll have fast, unlimited wi-fi during your stay. The main bedroom has a king size bed and the second bedroom has a large single bed. There is a huge wardrobe so plenty of space to store all the gear you'll need for your Coffs getaway. Whether you plan to spend your days on the beach, exploring 4wd trails or browsing local markets, a little pampering awaits you at the cottage in the form of crisp linen, fluffy towels and our favourite al.ive hand and body products. The living space looks out over a gum grove, offering privacy and views to the wallabies who love to graze there. The kitchenette is equipped for simple meals, with an induction hotplate, microwave, toaster and bar fridge. There's a bbq on the verandah to cook up some local surf 'n turf to go with a nice red and amazing sunset after a big day. You'll need to bring food for meals. The pantry has a few basics like salt, pepper, olive oil, milk and locally sourced plunger coffee. If the chooks are laying you're more than welcome to some fresh eggs too.
We loved our stay. The beds were very comfortable and we had everything we needed. Everything was clean and spotless. Having central air conditioning was fantastic and my kids loved how fast the wifi connected. The highlight was seeing the kangaroos in the wild. Cherry greeted us upon arrival and and was lovely and friendly. We met Andrew later who was lovely and friendly. He was also very quick to respond leading up to my check in. I would definitely stay again and hopefully longer to enjoy more of what Nana Glen has to offer.
We had a wonderful stay at Andrew's place which is a few kms from Nana Glen. The cottage was pristine and stocked with everything you could wish for in terms of light cooking. A litre of milk was supplied as well as ground coffee, fresh eggs and a good selection of teas. The bottle of wine was a nice touch. There were three of us and the two bedrooms with one king size and the other with a single made it ideal. Lovely super large fluffy towels too and quality shampoos etc. Great shower. The beds were super-comfy, there are blinds to keep the morning sun out and it's blissfully quiet with fabulous views of the hills and an outside seating area. We would definitely stay there again. Highly recommended. Thank you, Andrew!
The Coffs region has so much to see and do. We love to drive over to Emerald Beach and do the spectacular headland walk followed by a swim and coffee. If you're up for a bit more adventure there are endless 4WD tracks around Coffs to explore. We love the amazing Glenreagh Bakery and local Nana Glen Idle Inn cafe for a coffee or venture a little further to the boutiques and markets of Sawtell and Bellingen.
Nana Glen Equestrian Centre and Sports-ground is a 10 minute float ride away. If you're attending an event there, the farm and cottage would be a perfect base.
As you'd expect, Mimosa Farm has plenty of space between neighbours! You'll be able to recognise the farm by the red milk-can mail box at the front entry. Just head straight down the main drive and you'll see the cottage on the left once you pass the sheds.
Please park your car in front of the cottage where you'll see marker logs. If you have a caravan, we have a hard stand just next to the concrete water tank that makes for an easy drive-thru hitching spot. And if you're bringing horses, check with Cherry and she will tell you where to unload and park the trailer.
If you're flying into Coffs Harbour airport, Nana Glen is around 30km or 20 miles out of town along the Orara Way. We would recommend renting a car at the airport but there are taxis that will bring you to the farm for $70-$90 1-way. At this point we don't offer a limo service to the farm.
