Welcome to our cozy country retreat. Our guesthouse offers everything you need to unplug from the hustle of the city. Whether its enjoying a coffee on the lounge chair while watching the sunrise; stargazing on the patio; sitting around a warm campfire; or falling asleep under our son's handcrafted cedar strip canoe: this retreat was designed to maximize a unique experience. The building is completely separate from our family hobby-farm and offers a secluded space for our guests. The well equipped kitchenette includes a mini fridge, toaster, coffee maker, kettle and all the kitchen supplies required to make a lovely meal. Depending on the season, fresh vegetables from the garden may be available. The guesthouse has an enclosed private outdoor shower with hot water and an extremely comfortable queen size memory foam mattress bed that will provide a comfortable night's sleep. All linens, extra blankets, towels, shower accessories and bathrobes are provided. The guesthouse has air conditioning and heating along with great ventilation for warm days/nights. You will have access to the yard and garden next to the suite. Water: The water for the guesthouse is drawn from our house well. This water should only be used for showers and washing. Drinking water is provided from a hot/cold water dispenser inside the suite. Please be mindful of the water and reduce your usage where possible. Toilet: The guesthouse is equipped with an eco-friendly waterless incineration toilet that is simple and easy to use. Please read and follow the instructions available. Shower: The private outdoor shower is equally as lovely in the summer as it is refreshing in the fall. As the cooler weather sets in the limited hot water may reduce your shower time. Beach: Big Sandy Bay is a 5 minute drive from your stay. Please bring your own beach towels. All other towels are provided.
