MALDON: Stunning old town only 30 mins drive away from Bendigo. Great cafes, old school pubs and giftware / antique shopping! There is also a very cool vintage Lolly shop.
CASTLEMAINE: Very fun village 30 mins drive from Bendigo. The Mill is an awesome place to wander and shop for antiques or speciality food and alcohol. There is a very cool German Coffee House, a Chocolatier, Cheesemonger, Winery, Brewery, Gallery and a Gelato store.
If you like art and/or history - The Bromley Collection at The Old Castlemain Gaol is an extremely unique gallery experience.
The Theatre Royal hosts a range of music and theatre events. The stunning front bar opens at 4pm most days.
The Railway Hotel has a very cosy wood panelled dining room, cold beer and a great menu. 👌
DAYLESFORD: 1 hour drive from Bendigo, Daylesford is home to the famous Hepburn Springs. Book ahead for a soak in the middle of the forest. You will also find many fabulous restaurants and bars. Post lunch you can wander the Main Street which is full of Antique, Home wear and Vintage Brick-a-Brack stores. Plus a few mini Galleries.

ECHUCA: The old town on the mighty Murray is only 1 hour and 20 mins drive from Bendigo. Take a step back in time and wander past the horse drawn carts alongside the famous Murray River. Old school Lolly shop, Chocolate Shop, and St Anne’s Winery Cellar are all in the Main Street. You will also find some local art to peruse or purchase.
Echuca also offers a number of great restaurants & Pubs. Check out The American and The Mill. Morrisons Winery is also a stunning place for lunch and a wine Tasting.
Interestingly, the Moama RSL has a high end restaurant within the complex. The menu is seasonal and very good! We have enjoyed phenomenal meals there a number of times over the years. Great wine list and exceptional cocktails.

We are 3.5kms / 5-8 mins drive from the centre of Bendigo and 2.5kms / 5 mins drive from Kangaroo Flat Train station.
We are 700 metres / 2 mins drive from the nearest service station and cafe. (Gallo Cafe.)
There is also a bus stop at the end of our street.
