This historic older home has been completely renovated in Spring 2023 to have a comfortable stylish cottage vibe. Family friendly, safe quiet neighborhood, near a park and popular breakfast spot! Easy access to Rothrock State Forest. STRICT NO SMOKING/NO VAPING/NO PARTY PROPERTY. We do not rent to guests under the age of 25 without prior 5 star reviews. The Little Red Cottage provides guests with a safe and quiet place to relax while exploring State College and surrounding areas. With a two bedrooms featuring one queen and two twin beds, the home comfortably accommodates families, couples, and business travelers. The bedrooms, bath, kitchen, living, and dining room are all on one floor, with an office space on the second floor that also has space for a yoga session! (*Washer and dryer are located in the basement.) This older family home is small, yet has everything guests need to feel at home. The cottage has been completely updated in Spring 2023. New features include a brand new bathroom with custom tiled walk-in shower, electric woodstove for cozy ambiance in the real stone fireplace, white washed original hardwood flooring throughout the home, custom wood shelving, sustainable FLOR carpet tiles, and Garnet Hill quilted bedspreads. The kitchen features all new appliances, including a dishwasher. There are real stone countertops, live edge shelving, and subway tile backsplash. The cottage is always stocked with organic coffee and teas and take your pick of drip coffee maker, Moka pot, or French press! There is a private back patio and yard with Adirondack chairs for enjoying quiet Summer evenings outside. There is a SmartTV in the living with NetFlix and Disney+ accounts provided for guests. Please note that there is NO regular cable service. *For those used to a large bathroom, please note that this cute cottage has a cute compact bathroom. It is a small room that may not be suitable for guests used to more space. *Please note that while the main living areas are all on one floor, there are three outside steps to get into the cottage. The cottage is located in the historic town of Pine Grove Mills, which is an easy 15 minute drive to downtown State College via Route 45. Nearby attractions include Shaver's Creek Environmental Center, Whipple Dam State Park, Stone Valley Recreation Area, Ag Progress Days, three golf courses, and the Kocher Horse Show. *Please note that the cottage is NOT within walking distance to State College or shopping centers. However, two popular restaurants, The Naked Egg Cafe and The Pine Grove Hall, are just minutes away. Route 45 and Whitehall Road provide easy access to area attractions in State College.
