Taobh na Mara is a luxury holiday rental located in the Scottish coastal town of Lossiemouth, also known as 'the Jewel of Moray'. With captivating views with cosy interiors, Taobh na Mara (translating to 'Beside the Sea' in Scots Gaelic) occupies an idyllic spot overlooking Lossiemouth Marina. Step out onto the balcony in the summer to watch the boats drift by or relax by the gas burner on cosy winter nights.

Kate’s place was spacious, beautiful and immaculately clean. She has thought of everything for a very comfortable stay. She is a wealth of information for places to eat and things to do in the area. She went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable.
Kate’s apartment was probably the cleanest place I have ever stayed! The furnishings and decor were immaculate: simple without being basic, super chic and comfortable, and beautifully executed. In addition to a very well stocked kitchen, with everything needed for a long or short stay, there was a terrific library and selection of games. We loved Lossiemouth and found the beaches beautiful, excellent walks, and a fantastic selection of good restaurants. The village is a great place for exploring the area including distilleries, historical sites, and magnificent countryside. We could not recommend it more highly!
Very lovely place.
This is the cleanest Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in and I use Airbnb all the time. Kate was perfect, she was so responsive and helpful and her house is gorgeous. The marina being right out the window was lovely, the town has little grocery stores and restaurants within walking distance. The beach is cold but beautiful so bundle up and enjoy! Plus there’s a couple great castles about 10 mins away. She also supplied us with shampoo, conditioner, coffee, body wash, tea bags, games which my toddler loved, and everything we needed. Truly lovely. Can’t say enough nice things.
The perfect blend between a luxury holiday home and a 5 star hotel experience. Outstanding view of the harbour / sea in a perfect location, a very short walk to one of the most stunning beaches we have ever seen. Taobh na Mara is very stylish, impeccably clean with a spacious yet cosy feel. Every room is well thought out making you feel comfortable and cared for. This was our first holiday with our 7 month old baby and we were very pleased that the host had made special efforts to make the property a child friendly stay with safety measures in place and useful items available. House rules were clear but not overwhelming making guests feel they are able to relax. Kate is an excellent host, this is an absolutely beautiful place to stay and we will certainly be recommending to our friends and family. Thank you!

Taobh na Mara is one of several idyllic villages situated on the Moray Firth, a destination for swathes of unspoilt, sandy beaches, far-reaching sea views and breath-taking vistas of natural light.
A haven for natural wildlife, the Moray Firth offers opportunities for keen dolphin spotters and water sports are a popular past-time. Lossiemouth is home to the Moray Golf Club, where you can perfect your swing on it's green seaside sweeps. The Moray Firth coastal trail offers picturesque hiking routes where you can discover a plethora of hidden gems, such as Covesea lighthouse and the caves below.
The Northern Lights are also visible in the North-East of Scotland, typically seen during the dark skies of the winter months. The dark skies of October through to March are a perfect backdrop for the Aurora Borealis, a phenomenon of coloured light, rippling through the sky.
A private parking space is available outside the property, and free on street parking is available in the local areas. Outfit Moray on Shore Street also have bicycles available for hire. Local amenities are within walking distance.
