Doreen and her father are incredible hosts. They kindly helped us arrange ferry tickets and reimburse them through Airbnb, which made it so convenient and hassle free to visit. We were picked up and dropped off at the ferry free of charge. A load of laundry was done for us, which was so appreciated after a week on safari. We were also fed breakfast. We learned about Bukoba and East Africa and so much more. We were kindly given a ride to the town centre and introduced to other locals who were so kind and welcoming. They directed us to places where we could eat delicious local dishes that were vegan to suit our preferences. The lodge is clean and welcoming. The neighborhood has small farms and is a joy to wander around. A tuk tuk back from town cost 5000 shillings, which is $2 usd. We would stay at the lodge again in a heartbeat. The hospitality, responsiveness and kindness were such a gift. Please go see for yourself!

We loved staying at 3K Lavender Lodge. That contagious smile from the staff and the warm reception we received from the host was outstanding. We had an amazing and will definitely visit again. The location is ideal and the rooms are spacious and sparkling clean. The experience was way above our expectations. To the team at 3k Lavender Lodge, thank you!
