It's an old, authentic stone building set amongst vines and lavender fields, with great views of the Ardêche, stunning sunsets, and a pool. The house is well suited to families or a group of friends. Indoors and outdoors, there is plenty of room for people to spread out, whilst also providing great spaces for spending time together. It's a perfect mix of cosy and spacious. This is the perfect location for getting away from it all. This family-friendly farmhouse is set over two floors. The property sleeps 8 comfortably. There are areas for relaxing, both indoors and outdoors. There are areas for spending time together, and also plenty of space for spreading out. The large pool is set within a much-complimented garden, which is accessed directly from the large sitting-dining room. There are terraces facing South, North and West. Choose to sit or dine in the sun, or the shade, or indoors. And enjoy beautiful sunsets with a view to the Ardèche. On the lower floor there are: A bedroom with a double bed A bedroom that can be set up as a double or as twins A shower room (shower, sink) A separate WC A large sitting-dining room A room we've always called the little sitting room, even though it isn't little. It's only little compared to the other one. And a kitchen. On the upper floor: A bedroom with a double bed A bedroom that can be set up as a double or as twins A bathroom (bath with shower head, WC, sink) The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped, because we are foodies. You can really cook here. On the Lacanche cooker there are 4 gas rings, one large cast iron heat area, and two ovens. There are 2 barbecues - a Weber and an old fashioned cast iron contraption. There is a large fridge. Or you can not cook. Go out to the village for excellent food at l'Empreinte, or order pizza from a little sourdough pizza place a few minutes drive away. We can set the property up as 2 doubles and 2 twin rooms, or 4 doubles, or a combination thereof. All bedrooms have drawers and hanging space. And hangers. And lights that work. And sockets for your gadgets. Not that you’ll need them. You’ll be too busy lazing by the pool. This property is part of a pretty hamlet that nestles just below the brow of a hill. Although the house is secluded and quiet, it also offers good access to nearby pretty villages, good vineyards, and local sights. Sights within an easy distance include La-Roque-sur-Cèze, the Grottes Chauvet with their prehistoric art, the village of Goudargues (la Petite Venise du Gard), the incredibly impressive Pont du Gard, the town of Uzès, the Crocodile farm, the Bambouseraie at Anduze, the gorges de l'Ardèche and much, much more.
