This is an amazing home in an incredible setting. Beautiful, practical and a short drive to all the activities in Kaikoura. Susie was very responsive, and a great host but mindful of privacy. We had a terrific stay.

Susie’s place is very private and peaceful with a wonderful outlook on beautiful gardens and the mountains. It is spacious , comfortable and has everything we needed. Lovely personal touches including fresh flowers, fruit platter and bread ready for us to bake. Susie was very responsive and helpful in communicating, even offering us a later checkout time. A wonderful stay!

I am a shy artist with a passion for planting native trees. Although I grew up between Australia and the UK, I have found home in the South Island of New Zealand and have resided here for the past 15 years. I love my peace, quiet and privacy, the mountains and snow, and am fascinated by the hidden life of trees, plants, mountains and rocks and this is often reflected in my work. I have 2 children, aged 31 and 8 that I am so fortunate to be able to call my best friends - the eldest resides in Melbourne, which means I travel there when I can. I have a beautiful partner who is a climber and alpinist and so we share a passion for dramatic landscapes and rocks and forever inspire one another with our rocky interests, the micro and the macro!
