This was our first time in Coimbra and Andre's apartment was a nice base for us to experience the city. The apartment is massive. Our family of five had three bedrooms left over and it was really a treat to have so much space! However, since it was so hot during our stay and there's no air conditioning, it was almost impossible to use the rooms on the top floor, even with the fans they provided. This would be a lovely place to stay in winter, as the living room couches are so comfy and they have a nice fireplace. Also, there's a large balcony with amazing views of the city. While there's a mall and market within walking distance, we had to take an Uber any time we wanted to visit the old town. It was about a 10-minute drive. The host was very responsive, immediately providing us with fans upon our request and was there to meet us during check-in. We could tell they really care about making their guests feel at home!

Nice place, clean and with lots of rooms. Spotless bed linens and towels. Great view. Shopping mall within walking distance but car is recommended.
