Blacksmith Beauty is your mountain view escape with outdoor adventures galore. Small town, country living awaits in Hyrum while still offering easy access to Logan, Bear Lake, and Cherry Peak and Beaver Mountain ski resorts. Within just a few minutes walk or drive is Blacksmith Fork Canyon and the beautiful river trail; a huge park with a dog park, pickleball, skate park, splash pad and more; and Ridley's grocery store. Escape for a few days and see why we love Hyrum and the Cache Valley. This is our family home. When not being shared with guests we live here with our two boys and a dog (doodle mix). You can expect the space to be clean and comfortable while still showing the normal wear and tear of daily use. Families, couples, and other groups will find plenty of space to sleep, eat, play games, and just relax. THE MAIN LEVEL The master bedroom has a king size bed, attached bathroom with shower, TV, and clothes storage. The fully stocked kitchen has large counters with lots of seating and a telescope for wildlife viewing. The great room boasts huge windows to take in the spectacular views from the dining and living space. Books and board games are available. There is a 65" smart TV on the mantle above the fire place. Please note that the TV is high so watching a movie will be more enjoyable downstairs on the 135" laser projector (as of May 2024). The guest bathroom has a shower and tub. THE DOWNSTAIRS BASEMENT The 1st bedroom has a king size bed, TV and closet. The 2nd bedroom has queen bed and twin bunk beds. The closet contains a portable crib with a crib mattress, a high chair and booster seat for the table. The large family room is equipped with a 135" laser projector with ROKU (as of May 2024, pictures forthcoming). You can also get a game going of ping pong and foosball, or try out the arcade with lots of old school video games. The 2nd bathroom has a shower. The "Cupboard Under the Stairs" has a comfy floor couch to read or use as an extra twin bed. Kids especially seem to enjoy this space. There is also a portable twin trundle bed and twin air mattress, if needed. The bedding will be available in the family room closet. The laundry room has a large washer and dryer and can double as a small gym with some basic exercise equipment. OUTDOORS There is seating to enjoy the outdoors on the back deck and front porch and patio. The Blackstone griddle cooks up some great meals. The front and backyards are not currently landscaped with lawn, but there's plenty of space to play yard games, let the kids run around, jump on the trampoline (at your own risk), shoot some hoops on the driveway, relax by the gas fire pit, or walk down the street to the huge park that has everything. NOTE: Hyrum is known for its strong nightly winds that come through Blacksmith Fork Canyon. They usually start in the late evening and die off after 9-10 am. When it snows some outdoor areas may not be as accessible. We have snow shovels available to clear the driveway and outdoor areas, if needed. Parking on the street is prohibited from November 1 through April 1 to allow for snow removal.
