The gite is set within the Foret de La Double and enjoys the tranquility of the location. It is a short cycle, walk or run from the amenities of the village of St Barthelemy de Bellegarde. This village has a wonderful bakery and epicerie, and a restaurant serving delicious local foods.

Guests will need to have a vehicle to reach us but once settled in there are miles of cycle routes, walking and running routes within the forest. For longer journeys there is a fast train to Bordeaux and Perigueux in our local town Montpon.
