Although the home had a charming vintage feel, it was clear that the owner put effort into modernizing certain aspects. The quaint ambiance and thoughtful renovations added character to our stay. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful too. However, some areas like the floor plan could benefit from further updates. But, being that the house is so spacious, I can understand the large feat that it takes to modernize the home in its totality. Overall, it was a cozy retreat, and we appreciated the owner's attention to detail. Thank you for hosting us!

Was a nice big house for what we needed it for but there was a miscommunication in how much of the house we wanted to use. We needed the mother in law suite the basement and the entire home however we did not get the mother in law suite and that was used by other people during our stay. That forced some of our people to find another Airbnb the next day which was pretty inconvenient. At first there was no trying to make it right and eventually we were offered other options but since we were there for my wedding we decided to stay. Overall the house is nice very historic, however so are the showers. One shower was unusable, the shower head was about 4 feet tall and sprayed water to the ceiling. All of our guests had to use the master bath that my fiance and I stayed it and that was covered in hard water like scale. It was pretty inconvenient that 15 people had to use one shower. Also the door to the master bedroom does not lock nor even stay shut.

The home is beautiful and clean. It worked perfect for our need. We attended a wedding at Brick and Beam and the location was fantastic. The only down fall is the hallway bathroom upstairs has a tub with shower but the shower head is so low that only children could shower in the bathroom. We had a group of adults and all had to use one shower that was in the master. Other than that we rented the entire house (all three floors) and loved it. Thank you to the hosts for being available to answer any questions prior to our trip. I would definitely rent again to attend a wedding, sporting event etc. Close to downtown Jacksonville.

Beautiful big early 19th century home that has been newly renovated. Perfect for our group of six as there are six clean and spacious bedrooms with comfortable beds giving privacy to each person. Plenty of space inside and wonderful outdoor decks on the lower and upper levels to hang out on. Would definitely recommend this home and would stay here again.
