布拉格堡(Fort Bragg) · 整套民居 · 3室4床2.0卫 · 可住12人 · Home in the Redwoods with Hot Tub, Beach Nearby
Our 4.5-acre property is 10 minutes from Fort Bragg and a mile from the beach—just far enough to escape the fog and get a good amount of sunshine. The house is surrounded by redwood trees, rolling meadows and flowering rhododendrons. It has 3 bedrooms / 2 baths, a large wraparound porch, a library/office, and a hot tub. This beautiful and rustic redwood ranch house is eclectic and full of character with a very large, bright (but unheated) solarium at its center. A true Mendocino experience! While the house is technically three bedrooms, "bonus rooms" allow it to fairly comfortably accommodate three families or a group of friends. These include a large office off of the master bedroom that can fit both a (provided) queen-sized floor bed and a pack-n-play. Off of the living room, there's a good-sized office, separated from the living room by a curtain, that can also accommodate a (provided) queen-sized air mattress. We're happy to arrange the house to best fit your party. If your group is more than six people, please let us know prior to booking. While we allow up to 12+ guests, that is mainly to allow for families with small kids. We can add two additional floor beds to sleep 10, but please be aware the house does not comfortably sleep 12 adults. That said, we trust guests to determine for themselves if they'll be comfortable with the house's layout and ask you to let us know how you'd like the bedrooms (and spare rooms) made up. Please note that this is a drafty mid-century ranch house with an unusual layout. We've recently installed a brand new heat pump system to provide central heat to the bedrooms and large living room. But the solarium is an indoor-outdoor space (a patio that has been enclosed with a glass roof) and is not heated. While covered, it is quite chilly in the winter. In the summer it often gets very warm, which is lovely after a day at the beach. During the warm months, we're happy to discuss the possible use of additional RVs/tents for an additional fee. This is a wonderful property for small family gatherings, but please reach out in advance to discuss details.
Had an amazing weekend in such a lovely home thank you for everything and being super respectful and taking the time to get back to us! Would totally do it again !!!
We stayed here as a family group of five (three adults, two kids). The adults enjoyed the peace and quiet, proximity to the forest and sitting out on the deck. The kids enjoyed the ping pong table and the toys and games that were thoughtfully provided. There was something for everyone here! It's an older property full of character but if you read the description you will know what to expect. Hosts responded promptly by text and were kind enough to provide us all with special glasses to watch the eclipse!
Casa Coyote was an amazing place for us to spend a week in. I really enjoyed living in a place that felt true to the original spirit of Airbnb: someone opening up their home for people to share. This place has its quirks just like any house that people actually live in does: the lights and their switches are all different and take a while to get used to, the layout is unique, the doorknobs etc. aren't perfect, etc. But everything works and feels like a real house! It's so hard to find such a place on Airbnb these days. The place was big - both the main house and the lot as well. We were 8 people: two families with 4 kids ranging from 1 year old to 12 year old and we were all comfortable. The heat-pump system worked really well. Freda and Clarissa are both very responsive, very friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. In my opinion, the house could use a dishwasher (particularly for families with kids, since dishes tend to pile up really fast).
It was an amazing stay in the middle of the redwoods. The hosts are extremely responsive and super helpful. They assisted us multiple times during our stay and they were super kind people. The fire pit is a great addition in the backyard. The hot tub is also nicely situated in the overlooking the redwoods. They also have a super nice collection of old school board games and books which was fun. The beds are comfortable and accommodating. They even have a table tennis table in the green house. The house has heaters in all rooms and gets real toasty during the night. The house is also very private and separated from everything, so you will feel secluded but safe. We had lots of fun during our stay and will definitely come back to Fort Bragg / Mendocino. I highly recommend staying with Freda and Clarissa!
So I liked this place, but as others have stated it's a bit rustic. Host was very helpful and friendly. Nice secluded location. I think whatever your relationship with Dr. Bronners will answer how you will enjoy this house. A daily user will love it - bring your camping buddies and have a great time. If you've never hear of Dr. Bronners, this probably isn't the place for you.
The house is just north of the one store town of Cleone, which is home to MacKerricher State Park, surrounded by towering redwoods and sand dunes. It's less than 10 minutes to the coast's largest town, Fort Bragg, which has multiple supermarkets, some fine restaurants, and North Coast Brewery.
Because this is a rural area, a car is necessary. There's plenty of parking for up to four cars. There is a lovely multi-mile bike path nearby that takes you all the way to Fort Bragg.
