The Barn on Five Forks and hosts, Kim & Jack are amazing! Our stay was truly delightful. They have given great thought and attention to all details so that we, as travelers, can enjoy their wonderful cottage. The furniture, decorations, beds, linens are all top quality and exceedingly comfortable. The cottage is located in a rural setting on their farm with views of the rolling hills in a peaceful setting but only minutes from Hampden-Sydney College and Farmville. Each bedroom has a private bath appointed with everything you need. The kitchenette is well equipped for simple meals - toaster oven, microwave, small refrigerator, small dishwasher, Keurig, double sink as well as dishes, glassware, flatware, kitchen linens, etc. There is not a full oven, but with several great restaurants in the area you will not miss cooking! You will find Kim & Jack to be readily available, super friendly but not intrusive if you want "quiet time"!!! This is absolutely a perfect spot with great hosts!

AMAZING! The Barn is the ultimate escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Kimberly thought of EVERYTHING to make guests feel comfortable. The barn is immaculate, clean, and spacious (and offers a host of outdoor amenities!). If you are visiting the Farmville area and looking for a place to stay…. BOOK HERE!

We had a wonderful stay! Kim is a wonderful host - super responsive. The Farmhouse was just as advertised…but better. The location is peaceful and serene. Can’t wait to get back!
