We enjoyed staying here. It is no frills, the grounds are well maintained, the pool is nice, the staff is very friendly and helpful, overall a nice place. Be aware that this is the chicken island. With chickens come roosters:) it is not an over exaggeration! They are EVERYWHERE. That also means they are there in the morning;) The Country Market down the road a few minutes has DELICIOUS food. It is a deli, but the food is yum. Island Coffee is THE BEST!! 8 minutes away in traffic. Their Açaí bowl is delicious. Good location, easy to get to either side of the island. We would stay here again.

1 bedroom villa i stayed in at kauai beach resort was good. furnitures were dated but functional. bathroom sink was backed up but my husband was able to fix that. bed was comfortable but sheets had yellowing and comforter had dirty rims. kitchen had all essentials for cooking stay-in meals which is always important for me! in-unit washer and dryer were huge plus as well! my main complaint is that listening had “ocean view” as part of the “what this place offers”, when i asked host why i ended up with a lagoon view instead, i was told the “standard” part of the listing title meant it wasn’t an ocean view, title needed to have “ocean view”. i felt this was very deceiving, i made the booking under the assumption that it’s “ocean view”!
