Tucked away in the woods near Twain Harte & only 16 minutes to Sonora. At 4000' elevation. Take a serene & peaceful stroll along the trout stocked beautiful canal across the street. We are located 12 minutes from Twain Harte & approximately 16 to Sonora. We are approx. 35 to 40 minutes from Dodge Ridge Ski area & 2 hrs. to Yosemite Valley; that said, please do not book us if you are going to leave less than a five for location because YOU made the choice to stay! Welcome to your cozy private room in a mountain home a mere 12 minutes from Twain Harte village in the beautiful Sierras. We are close to the Dardanelles, Kennedy Meadows & Pinecrest lake. Numerous lakes and streams nearby with abundant fishing hiking, gold panning, kayaking, snow and water skiing and so much more! We are 35 minutes from Dodge Ridge ski resort. Our place is an hour and thirty to Yosemite National Park boundaries & another 30 to the valley floor. Twain Harte and Sonora boast many outstanding restaurants and eateries as well as other delightful activities such as mini golf, gold panning and shopping galore! It is prudent to check the weather and road conditions before booking.

Je suis restée une nuit, j’ai croisé Harmony le soir. Harmony est une personne très gentille! La maison est magnifique, confortable, l’environnement est génial aussi et super apaisant. C’est l’un des meilleures airbnb que j’ai pu faire.
Stayed at Dean and Harmony’s place for 2 days whilst we visited lake tahoe and yosemite. They were both very accommodating and the place itself was so peaceful. The room and bathroom was clean and tidy and there was an abundance of snacks to take. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!
We stayed for one night. This place feels like staying at someone’s home, someone you know :). Dean and Harmony are great hosts, and take care of all your small needs. We had a good stay:)
Very nice and comfortable AirBnB where‘s Nature around the house. The whole house was very clean and we had a great stay. We would book it again :)

We live in a cozy, quiet mountain neighborhood. Our neighbors are kind, considerate and quiet. If you want to get out and walk around we would refer you to walk up Awahanee Road just a few houses where you will see a water tower on your left. Walk up the water tower driveway which leads to the canal pathway. The canal has miles of beautiful hiking and biking trails. It is well stocked with trout and many locals catch their limit every time. No swimming is permitted!
Our guests use rental cars or their own vehicles. There are cabs and probably Uber but I'm not sure if they are readily available at all times. Rental cars seem to be the best option. If you come in the winter time please be aware you may need to carry chains in your vehicle, as well as possibly use them!
