The apartment is located in a historical building from the 1930s (cited in "Guida d'Italia" by Touring Club Italiano, Rome, 1993: p 749) in an area rich of Roman ruins. The building is designated by the municipality of Rome as a "building of significant historical/architectural interest".
Close by there are the monumental Porta Maggiore, the S. Giovanni and S. Croce in Gerusalemme Cathedrals. The Colosseum is within a 30 minutes walking distance.
Supermarkets & banks are just a few meters away. The area has plenty of restaurants, pizzerias and pubs; the trendy districts of San Lorenzo and Pigneto are within a 10 minutes walking distance.
Dedicated to Vegan/Vegetarian:
in Rome it is not easy to find vegan restaurants, even if you can consider the pizzerias as suitable for both vegetarians and vegans, by choosing appropriately.

Only those experienced by me and within a 30-35 minute walk

Well connected to Termini Central Station: buses n°50 or 105 stop just in front of the building and travels directly to the station (15 minutes trip). Well connected to underground lines (5 minutes walking distance, METRO C - stop Lodi). Bus n°81 on Via la Spezia, less than five minutes walk from the apartment, will take you to the historical centre and to many touristic spots.
