Nice place if you’re happy to be away from absolutely everything. After spending 3 months in many places throughout Bali we feel staff were not as welcoming and helpful to a level you expect. There was no going above and beyond and when I raised this the manager seemed to want to debate instead of accommodate. Food was very average and very expensive and unfortunately there is no option outside taking a ride into town to buy groceries which we later found out the ride was not complimentary but instead came with a $15 charge. Nice spot for some but wasn’t our cup of tea so we left for 3 weeks of the 4 booked and went elsewhere. I did ask for a small refund but had that strongly denied. Over all I would rate them a 5 out of 10 at best.

This place is nothing short of AMAZING. The staff, the villa, the amenities, the view, all great. You can pedal bike or motor scooter right down to the beach. Housekeeping comes daily. But what really made our stay here great was the community. You’re not just another guest here, you’re family. They educated us on the Balinese culture. Invited us into their personal homes and temples. Checked on us when we stayed away from the villa a few days. Recommended cultural experiences. Went above & beyond when my laptop would not connect to the WiFi (to no fault of theirs). Putu will greet you every morning with the biggest smile. Wayan will escort you to the most beautiful sunset. And them ladies at the front desk, EXCEPTIONAL. Do yourself a favor & book here! Note: This is where you stay if you’re looking for peace & serenity. If you’re looking for nightlife/tourist attractions, it’s 1-2 hour drive away, depending on traffic. Bonus: They’re a non-profit. Funds go toward the village

Sahaja is a wonderful place! My sister and I have been here for a month and have fallen in love with the staff and the property. This is a wonderful resort. Sahaja prides itself on creating a quality environment for its guests. Bernard the owner lives on the property and is constantly making improvements and looking after the well being of all the guests. We will be living in Bali for a year and have decided to remain at Sahaja for a long term stay. We love: -The cook service. The chefs cook great meals and you have the option of adding on the cook service with a customized menu that you select. They will cook lunch and dinner for you and bring it to your room. -Family oriented: There are many families here. Sahaja has recently created a play space for young children. There is a large pool and small pool for kids. Even adults and singles create connections and friendships here. Sahaja is a community all within itself. -The authentic Balinese experience. We could have chosen to stay in a more convenient location like Seminyak or Ubud, but have chose Sahaja because it’s authentic and our stay here is contributing to the local village. The owner hires a lot of the staff from the village next to the resort and does a lot for the community as well. -Efficiency. If you need something done, just ask and Sahaja’s staff will take care of it with a smile. -Amenities. We are American and wanted a comfortable living space. Our townhouse is comparable to a high-end apartment in the states for a fraction of the price. We have a 3 bedroom 2 1/2 bath condo. One of the bathrooms has a large soaking tub (lovely). We also have amazing views of the rice paddies and water in the distance from our front porch as well as the balcony. -They have bikes to use for you to explore the area or take to the beach as well as motorcycles for a quick trip into town. --There is a small village just up the road with a lot of friendly people to see and experience part of the real Balinese culture. --On Sunday there is a free yoga class and movie night for kids and adults. Many people enjoy it here so much that they return. We were lucky to have found this place and hope that you’ll come and join the Sahaja family with us!
