Make yourself at home at Māhina! This private room overlooks Sumner surf beach and the surrounding hills, and has easy access to many walking/biking tracks and parks. Enjoy the golden sunrise and watch surfers with a relaxing brunch on the balcony. Cook a meal in the large kitchen, play the piano, unwind in the spa, or chat local advice. Friendly dog and cat with neighbor sheep. Take it easy in the tranquillity of our home, or venture out and explore what our beautiful city has to offer. Māhina is our private room with a spectacular view of Sumner beach and the surrounding hills. Like the name, you'll enjoy views of the early morning dawn and moon rises. The room has a dedicated workspace for studies, a wardrobe for your belongings, and black-out curtains for light sleepers or late risers. Māhina overlooks the ocean and surrounding hills. A shared bathroom is located on the same floor along with a laundry unit. A second room with a single fold-out bed is available for a third guest or upon request. The shared kitchen upstairs offers a six-burner induction stove, oven, dishwasher, large counter space, and plenty of pots, pans, dishes, and cutlery. A spacious lounge offers additional room to make yourself at home. You're welcome to play the piano, pick up a guitar, or choose from the many books or board games. There's a foosball table in the adjacent game room if you'd like to play or challenge the hosts to a friendly game. Relax in the cedar hot tub and look out at the ocean.

Monica和Cameron非常热情，还有他们的大狗Otis和黑猫Nico，都非常可爱！房源位置位于Clifton hill山上，可以看到令人难以忘怀的日落和日出，还可以在夜晚一边泡木桶浴一边观星，体验非常完美！房间内各种设备非常齐全。绝佳的位置，热情好客的房主，和可爱的猫狗，是我们留下了深刻的记忆！非常值得推荐！

Wir können uns den guten Bewertungen nur anschließen. Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit bei Monica und Cam. Die Betten waren wahnsinnig gemütlich und der hot tub war super!! Wir würden nur zukünftigen Gästen raten, mit dem Auto anzureisen, der Weg von sumner downtown nach oben zum Haus ist schon sehr anstrengend, daran hatten wir damals bei der Buchung nicht gedacht.

Having been to Christchurch multiple times, this is the best AirBnB experience possible. Sumner is a beach community nestled between the hills, and Monica & Cam's home is spoilt for choice when it comes to breathtaking views. You can't beat waking up to seeing the ocean every day. Their home is walking distance to the beach, hip cafes, awesome walking/hiking tracks, and still just a short drive from the CBD; plus they have an amazing hot tub. Monica & Cam put a lot of effort into keeping their home immaculate & functional, while making sure their guests have everything they need. Great conversationalists & amazing hosts, they made me feel right at home & continuously provided me with valuable advice for the rest of trip throughout New Zealand. Their dog Otis was sweet & I ended up bonding with their cat Nico. Monica & Cam are two super-cool, outstanding human beings, and I'm stoked I was able to meet them. Highest possible recommendation!

Wind your way up Clifton Terrace to amazing views of the endless ocean, hills, surf, and Sumner beach. The historic Zig Zag connects you to Sumner, Brownlee Reserve, and there are numerous walking and mountain bike tracks in the surrounding hills.

出行信息

It's a 3 minute drive to the beach and Sumner village shops and restaurants. Walking down the Zig Zag track to the beach will take 10-15 minutes and walking back up to the house is a steep 20 minute walk - great exercise! There's a parking space at the house down our steep drive (just leave space on the right for us to access the garage), and you can also park on the street if that's more comfortable.
