Collaroy is a beautiful beachside suburb on Sydney's Northern Beaches. It features a long stretch of beach suitable for surfing, an ocean pool for swimming as well as other water sports. The suburb features a public golf course (Long Reef) with sweeping ocean views, a tennis club, a movie cinema (United), shops, restaurants, cafes and beachfront bars (The Collaroy & The Beach Club). Scenic nature walks can be taken south to Long Reef or north to the nearby Narrabeen Lakes area. Collaroy is serviced by express buses to/from the city.

There are bus stops in both directions at Ramsay Street, one block from the property. The closest Express Bus stop to and from the city (B-Line / B1 bus – the double decker yellow buses – sit upstairs at the front for a scenic trip!) is at the Collaroy shop area (outside The Collaroy & The Beach Club if heading in the city direction (both places are good for a drink / meal with ocean views)). Dee Why, Manly, Chatswood and Palm Beach (to name a few) are other interesting locations in the general area that can all be reached by bus. You’ll need an Opal card (opal dot com dot au) with credit added to catch public transport in Sydney.
Unfortunately, there’s no allocated parking spot on site. If you keep an eye on the parking spots in Stuart St, some will usually become available during the day, but can fill quickly. The bus lanes on Pittwater Rd can be parked in outside of peak hours (check the street signs for exact hours – different hours on each side, based on peak commute direction), but make sure to move your car before the stated bus lane period otherwise you will be fined and your car towed!
