My stay in Ruffec, France was wonderful.The townhouse is located in a beautiful, quiet and serene location. Every morning you wake up to birds singing. Everything I needed was within walking distance, for example, the grocery store E.Leclerc. On Wednesday and Saturday mornings there is an open air Farmers Market in the Ruffec City Center, 2 minutes away. The local farmers are selling their produce, fresh fish, meats, cheeses, breads, wines, chocolates and of course all with a French flair which includes music and friendly people. I also had the opportunity to walk the promenade in the neighborhood to the local pool called The Piscine Aquaval, for the cost of 4 Euros I could go for a swim in an indoor heated pool, the environment is very clean and well managed. I cannot finish writing without mentioning the easy access to the Ruffec gare (train) I took to Paris, Angouleme, and Bordeaux. Also, Maria was available and friendly all during my stay.
