This condo is in a home on a canal that has been divided into 3 units - this 2 BR and two 1 BR. Each has a private screened porch or patio and they share backyard and pool. The decor was rustic- kind of 1980s lake house. So not modern but very clean and well stocked. Beds are comfy. The backyard still has construction clutter as things are built back from the hurricane. But that will improve and the pool is cute with deck and lounge chairs. I loved sitting on the boat dock and watching boats and paddle boarders go by and having breakfast on the porch. Don is very responsive and checks in on any needs. The location is excellent - very walkable with nearby restaurants and Barefoot Beach. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will return!

Although Donald was a good host , the property has suffered from the hurricane, ,the pool area and dock, are in need of repair, to get to the dock you would have to navigate through broken patio blocks and discarded lumber. We were on the upper floor, and found roaches in the kitchen area, notified the host and he responded twice. The rear ground floor, and pool areas were very untidy and had extension cords, car batteries, loose screens hanging off of windows and doors. Although Donald responded quickly when we called him of some of the inconsistencies. Roaches in the kitchen area did for my wife, We will not be going back.

After returning from the beach, we were greeted by an enormous amount of cockroaches in the living and kitchen areas. Not only is this a major sanitary issue, it’s also a safety concern. The kitchen nor the bathroom had hand soap, the outdoor space was messy with debris, the outdoor/upstairs patio presented a safety concern as the floors were soft and potentially rotting. My son wanted to have a bowl of cereal and he had to eat it out of a cup because there were no bowls on site. The kitchen is described in the ad as fully furnished and I have a better camping set up than this. No cutting board and no dish towels. Donald did send someone over to bring a cutting board which appeared to be part of someone’s counter top, dawn dish detergent that was filled primarily with water, a few bowls and silverware that was rusted and had particles of food debris attached. While we appreciated the effort, we realized he was only trying to protect himself.
