Nuit du 31 décembre très agréable, réveil paisible dans la campagne avec les nombreux chats qui habitent également le domaine (tous très mignons !). Un vrai dépaysement et de véritables découvertes dans cette magnifique région du Lot. Karin nous a très bien accueilli. Je recommande ! :)

I write this having just left the property after a 28 day stay. Karin & Richard are a pleasant English couple who have turned the wine cellar below their farmhouse in to accommodation that sits in a lovely spot surrounded by fields. It is peaceful with barely any cars passing by the rd that runs alongside it. The swimming pool is located across the small rd and has privacy. There is a gate but be mindful if you have a dog they can escape out the back way. The village of Cassagnes is small and quaint. If you want any supplies there is nowhere locally to buy this without travelling 15 minutes in the car but there are many wonderful places to choose from in the surrounding area. You couldn’t be in a better location to travel to some really special places. All the villages are stunning and the local markets brimming with delicious fresh food. The cellar is cool and well equipped .In the bedroom you will hear footsteps above and the shower/bath which as a light sleeper woke me up daily.

We had a great couple of weeks at Karins'. The location was perfect amongst farmland and woods, it was quiet and so nice to relax and just listen to the birds and cicadas. The kittens also provided great entertainment and some lovely photo opportunities. The salt water pool was lovely, kept well & very welcoming. Our first experience of a salt water pool and definitely better than the norm. The accommodation was spacious and comfortable and Karin is a wonderful Host, thoughtful, generous and always available for any questions we may have had. The surrounding areas also very beautiful and lots to see and do including walking, canoeing (from Douelle) along with many other (water) sports and plenty of sight seeing of beautiful medieval villages. The season of the Marché Gourmande had just begun so it was great to eat out at different places and enjoy local food and wine amongst the residents of the different villages that held them.
