It is located in a Béarnais village at the foot of the mountains in Laruns in the Ossau Valley. Maeva Escapades is an invitation to take the time to rediscover France and its destinations through the eyes of lovers of their region. Zoom on the region : The Ossau valley is one of the three valleys of the Bearn Pyrenees. Eighteen villages share this territory between the plain of Pau and the border with Spain. At the start of summer, transhumance is celebrated there, from Bielle to the pastures of Bious-Artigues. On August 15, Laruns, a village in the heart of the Ossau valley, offers its festivals in traditional colours. In winter, the resorts of Gourette and Artouste present festive events around sliding and mountain races. The Pyrenees National Park in the upper valley protects a whole heritage of flora and fauna. As for the Ossau Nature Reserve, it preserves the griffon vultures nestled in the cliffs above the village of Aste-Béon. The Ossau valley is a mecca for hiking on emblematic routes such as the GR 10, the way of Saint Jacques of the way of Ossau or more mountainous, the Haute Route Pyrénéenne. Among the flagship sites of this territory preserved by the Pyrenees National Park, we can mention the lake of Bious-Artigues populated by fario and rainbow trout which is a delight for fishermen, the Pic du Midi de Bigorre accessible by cable car, or the famous Sierra Guara National Park just 1h30 from our campsite for unique breathtaking landscapes and thrills! To slow down the pace, take the time to stroll around the local market of Laruns to discover the local products of the region. Here the roots and traditions are strong, as much as the climate is mild. To enjoy the panoramic view of the surrounding mountains, the Campsite offers various facilities : an aquatic area consisting of two heated pools with rocks, a waterfall, a pontoon and a whirlpool bench. Your little ones can enjoy the paddling pool while you bask in the sun on one of the deckchairs on the wooden solarium terrace. A games room welcomes you with billiards and table football and 2 ping-pong tables. We also offer various services : a bar where you can have a drink with friends, free wifi access at the bar, a bed linen and toilet kit for a pleasant stay as well as a welcome drink on Sunday evening to welcome you! And for moments of conviviality , petanque or ping-pong tournaments are organized in July/August. It's time for you to put down your suitcases and go on an adventure!
