What a wonderful Thanksgiving we had at the Lake House. We kayaked, made a fire, and spent an amazing time with family. We will definitely be back.
If you want privacy & a beautiful natural environment, this is the place to be. We were in the area for my 104 year old Dad's funeral & we wanted a place that had plenty of space for our large family. (10) Although most of our family(ages 5-81) were only there for one night, we all felt comfortable and relaxed, found comfy beds and a large open spaced home with lots of windows with breathtaking views of the lovely private lake. We have stayed at many Air B&B's before, but this was the most "well-stocked" home we have ever stayed in from comfortable pillows and linens to large living areas with plenty of supplies accommodating a big family. The most amazing thing ,tho, was the wildlife, from ducks, swans and a bald eagle on the lake & deer grazing in the fields. Although this is not a contemporary home, the well appointed antiques & traditional decor added a comfortable feel to the home. A totally peaceful & relaxing atmosphere. Thank you so much to the wonderful homeowners.
Excellent location for kids and families. Peaceful and serene with lots of indoor as well as outdoor activities. Plenty of amenities for the families to use. The house is the definition of cozy in any season and I appreciate the small details and homey touches provided by the host
The Lake House was one of the most beautiful spots I've ever stayed and one of the best vacations our family has had. It was us, two swans and their 4 cygnets, a few blue herons, gold finches, the stars, local produce, and a super blue moon! You could see the lake from every room in the house and the light was beautiful - such a thoughtful design. The swimming was perfect! The sounds of nature surrounded us and yet we were so close to everything including Metro North. The beds were comfortable, and the place was so well appointed, including the kitchen, the game room & games, binoculars, the books and the boats that we lacked for nothing and felt no need to ever leave the house except for some short shopping trips! I usually love to hike, but couldn't tear myself away from the house and lake. Thank you so much for sharing your piece of paradise with us!!!
