The condo is clean and renewed and very nicely done. The space is well planned and all of furnishings are comfortable and attractive. The kitchen area is wonderfully furnished, outfitted and supplied. The location is close to the main area of Kailua Kona and definitely within walking distance. The walking path is on the shoulder of a busy roadway, which at times is unnerving and tight. There is a lot of loud traffic noise due to traffic congestion most all of the day, but becomes much quieter at night. In our case, we were disappointed with the rental agent CB, as they overlooked the fact that we asked, well in advance, if our ADA Service Dog would be accepted without any problems. We were told to book. During our stay, we were questioned and admonished twice by building residents and once by CB personnel informing us that pets were not accepted on the property and making it apparent we should not be there.

We had a great stay in Kona. The condo was cute and we were grateful for the air conditioner and the proximity to a small beach only a few blocks away. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cooking supplies. There were no books or board games, but they do provide boogie boards, beach chairs and towels, which were very useful. Heads up, the lanai faces a busy road, so the road sounds were present while on the patio, but there is a big lava-rock wall so there is no line of sight with passers-by. It was a short walk to the Kona down-town area with all of the restaurants and shopping you would want. It was really great having in-unit laundry. The beds were comfy. We liked the place and found it met all of our needs!
