Another 5 stars from us! I can only repeat what all the previous reviews said. The house was great and was exactly as described and shown in the pictures! We enjoyed the pool by the sun, the fully equipped kitchen, the food essentials available when we arrived. We had a great stay at Villa Encina!

The fact that several basic products were left behind deserves special recognition: bread, cheese, butter, fruit and a bottle of wine. We arrived late in rainy weather. Thanks to this, we could rest peacefully after the journey and not look for a store at 10 p.m. A small gesture of care will change a lot.

We had a lovely six day stay at Villa Encina in March. The house fully corresponded to the fotos and the description - very new, comfortably furnished and a spacious terrace with a pool and an outstanding view. With two bedrooms and two bathrooms, we had plenty of space for three people. The kitchen is well equipped and we were pleasantly surprised by some basics (fruits, toast, cheese, wine, etc.) that were already provided for us. The remote location quite steep on the hillside makes a car essential, but it can be easily parked on the property and you can get to almost every corner of the island within max. an hour. The nearest supermarket, gas station and the center of Calheta can be reached in a few minutes. Checking in was smooth and on time with Antonino welcoming us personally upon arrival and was available at any time before and during the trip and provided us with good tips on both activities and restaurants. We spent a week at Antonino’s place in February. One of the best Airbnb we’ve been to! Antonino offered lots of good advice on things to do with kids in the area. The house was spotless, well equiped. The view is amazing with sun on the terrace all day long. The swimming pool was a big hit with our daughters (and us, after climbing up and down along the levadas!). Would definitely recommend going to Villa Encina. Madeira is a wonderful destination and staying at Villa Encina made our holidays even better.

Kann man 6 Sterne vergeben? Wir haben uns als 5-köpfige Familie mit Kleinkind unbeschreiblich wohl gefühlt! Die Kommunikation mit Antonio war bestens, es war alles für uns vorbereitet. Am zweiten Tag haben wir uns auch kurz getroffen. Antonio hatte an so vieles gedacht und uns viele zusätzliche Dinge wie Spielsachen oder Bademantel für unserer Kleinste (2 Jahre) bereitgestellt! Die Küche lässt keine Wünsche offen. Neben guten Restaurants in der Umgebung kann man hier auch problemlos selber kochen oder auf der Terrasse grillen. Der Salzwasserpool ist sehr sauber und total angenehm, wir haben Antonio für die Poolheizung etwas extra bezahlt. Alles in allem eine traumhafte Unterkunft, die wir jederzeit wieder buchen würden!
